Join the Stoneridge Team as we continue to build upon our strong history and reputation for quality products to deliver innovative products and systems that address a need, exceed our customers’ expectations, and motivate our team.\nJOB SUMMARY:\nThe Senior Electrical Architect (SEA), InnoTech leads the electrical architecture and hardware design efforts for advanced automotive technologies, with a primary focus on camera, display, and controller systems. This highly visible role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership to develop innovative, high-performance hardware solutions.\nThe ideal candidate brings deep experience in electrical system design, a curiosity for emerging technologies, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The SEA oversees schematic development, PCB layout, component engineering, and signal, power, and thermal integrity analysis to ensure robust, scalable, and industry-leading product designs.\nPRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead electrical architecture and hardware development for next-generation technology platforms.\nLead specialists in schematic design, PCB layout, component engineering, and hardware simulation.\nDevelop technical solutions that meet customer requirements and support RFQ responses.\nDefine electrical architectures, technology roadmaps, and design standards.\nEnsure compliance with Functional Safety and Cybersecurity requirements.\nDrive component selection, qualification, and lifecycle strategy.\nEvaluate and integrate emerging technologies and components.\nPartner with suppliers to identify innovative solutions and benchmark industry trends.\nCollaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Optics teams to deliver integrated product solutions.\nSupport cross-functional development activities from concept through production launch.\nProvide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across product development programs.\nOptimize designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.\n\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:\nBachelor of Science required in electrical engineering, or similar field\nMaster’s degree in electrical engineering, or similar field, preferred\nA minimum of 5 years experience in an Electrical or Hardware Architect role\nKnowledge of ADAS applications and sensor set; Automotive experience required\nSolid understanding of digital circuit block design and their integration into products\nFamiliarity with all faculty tools\nGood knowledge of Functional Safety and ASPICE standards\nBasic coding and modelling skill with MATLAB/Simulink/Python/C preferred Versed in using AI tools\nSelf-motivated and results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability\nConfident decision-maker with the ability to influence technical direction and drive outcomes\nQuick to analyze complex challenges and develop effective solutions\nInnovative thinker who approaches problems with creativity and a continuous improvement mindset\nStrong collaboration and understanding of effective communication; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors\nundefined\nLOCATION AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:\nUp to 10% travel required for this position\nADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:\nRelocation assistance is not offered for this position, and candidates must reside within a commutable distance to Novi, Michigan\nThis role requires on-site presence a minimum of three (3) days per week, with the option to work remotely two (2) days per weekundefined\nStoneridge is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
