Responsibilities
Position Purpose: This role sits within the LATAM engineering group, working on mission-critical systems: order routing and trade capture, exchange and clearinghouse integrations (B3, CME, local CSDs), post-trade processing, regulatory reporting, and client-facing platforms. You will be a senior individual contributor with strong ownership over design and delivery, partnering directly with trading, operations, compliance, and global engineering teams.We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative QA Engineer to support the quality of web-based financial applications across StoneX's LATAM business lines. This person will work with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Managers, and Automation Engineers to understand requirements, execute tests, report defects, and help deliver stable solutions.
The role exists to raise the quality bar on regional platforms - increasing release confidence, reducing manual regression effort, and validating the features and integrations required by local market structure and regulation, while aligning to StoneX global quality standards.
This role is ideal for someone with solid functional testing experience who is interested in developing automation and technical skills.
Primary duties will include:
- Review requirements and identify questions, risks, and missing scenarios; participate in refinement with business stakeholders.
- Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests for services supporting trading, clearing, settlement, and reporting workflows.
- Prepare test data and validate business rules, calculations, files, permissions, and system behavior.
- Test integrations with exchanges, clearinghouses, market data providers, and internal global platforms (REST, messaging, file-based protocols).
- Validate data pipelines and reconciliation processes feeding regulatory and internal reporting (CVM/B3, CNBV, and equivalents), including data integrity and completeness checks.
- Report, track, and retest defects with clear steps and supporting evidence; support root-cause analysis and regression-gap identification for production issues.
- Maintain test cases, execution results, traceability, and QA documentation.
- Collaborate with the team to improve test coverage, identify scenarios for automation, and progressively contribute to automated suites and CI/CD quality gates.
- Coordinate with distributed teams across the US, UK, and Asia; including working across time zones and in English.

Qualifications
To land this role you will need:
- 2 or more years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
- Experience testing web applications and creating clear, well-structured test cases.
- Experience managing defects from identification through final validation.
- Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken); fluent Spanish.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
What makes you stand out:
Candidates are not expected to meet all these qualifications:
- Experience with financial, capital markets, or transactional applications - brokerage, clearing, asset management, exchange, or fintech.
- Domain knowledge of trading lifecycle, post-trade operations, market data, or risk; familiarity with FIX protocol.
- Exposure to LATAM market structure and regulation: B3, CVM, ANBIMA, SELIC/CETIP, CNBV, or local payments/settlement rails.
- Familiarity with TestRail or another test management tool.
- Basic knowledge of Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks.
- Basic experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured) or SQL.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git, cloud (AWS or Azure), or containerization (Docker).
- Experience validating regulatory or financial reporting pipelines and data reconciliation.
- Portuguese language skills.
- Experience working in a global matrixed organization with offshore/nearshore delivery models.
Working environment:
- Full time (Monday to Friday), with an indefinite contract.
