The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of Linux-based systems while also leveraging modern AI-assisted tools to improve operational efficiency, automation, and system reliability.\nThis role includes traditional systems administration responsibilities along with the opportunity to adopt AI-driven practices such as intelligent automation, incident analysis, and operational optimization.\nPrimary duties will include:\nInstall, configure, and maintain Linux servers and systems, ensuring high availability and performance.\nAutomate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Ansible, Bash, Python.\nDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support infrastructure and application deployments.\nPerform regular system patching and vulnerability remediation to maintain compliance and reduce risk.\nProvide high-level expertise in resolving complex technical issues and outages in time-sensitive environments.\nCollaborate with cross-functional IT teams to address infrastructure and application-related issues.\nMonitor system performance and proactively identify areas for optimization.\nLeverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or enterprise AI platforms) to accelerate scripting, automation, and troubleshooting.\nUtilize AI-driven observability and monitoring platforms to detect anomalies, predict failures, and reduce incident response time.\nDevelop and maintain intelligent automation workflows that incorporate AI/ML insights for system management and remediation.\nAssist in evaluating and integrating AI tools into existing Linux engineering workflows (e.g., runbook automation, ticket triage, log analysis).\nUse AI to analyze logs, metrics, and system patterns to identify root causes and recommend preventative actions.\nContribute to the development of internal AI-driven tools or pipelines that improve team productivity and operational efficiency.\nEnsure AI usage aligns with security, compliance, and data governance policies. \nQualifications\nTo land this role you will need:\n8+ years of experience in Linux Engineering.\nIn-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, particularly RHEL.\nProficiency in automation using Ansible and Bash.
