This role is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and continuously improving the firm's global network infrastructure across offices, data centers, cloud environments, and trading platforms.\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience delivering complex infrastructure projects in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This individual will work closely with Network Architects, Security, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure a highly available, secure, and scalable global network.\nPrimary duties will include:\nNetwork Engineering and Operations\nDesign, implement, maintain, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and data center networking environments.\nSupport global connectivity across corporate offices, cloud platforms, trading environments, data centers, and third-party providers.\nProvide daily operational support, monitoring, administration, and troubleshooting to maximize network availability and performance.\nMonitor network capacity and performance while proactively identifying opportunities for optimization, resiliency, and improvement.\nTroubleshoot complex network issues using packet captures, logs, telemetry, and network monitoring platforms.\nPerform complex network migrations, upgrades, hardware refreshes, and new technology deployments with minimal business impact.\nResolve incidents, problems, and change requests in accordance with service-level agreements and approved maintenance windows.\nParticipate in major incident response and lead technical troubleshooting efforts when required.\nProduce clear Root Cause Analysis documentation following significant network incidents and outages.\nInfrastructure Projects and Technical Leadership\nLead and execute global network infrastructure projects from planning and design through implementation and operational handoff.\nDesign resilient, secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant networking solutions aligned with business growth and technology standards.\nCollaborate with Network Architects, Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, Application, and business teams during project delivery.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for network standards, roadmaps, and future improvements.\nProvide technical leadership during projects, maintenance activities, and major incidents.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.\nBuild strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, carriers, and technical partners.\nCloud and Network Security\nSupport hybrid networking across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services environments.\nConfigure and maintain secure connectivity between cloud platforms, data centers, offices, and external partners.\nSupport enterprise firewall environments, including Palo Alto Networks technologies.\nSupport F5 application delivery and load-balancing platforms.\nImplement and maintain network segmentation, routing policies, VPN connectivity, network access control, and security best practices.\nWork closely with Cyber Security teams to ensure alignment with enterprise security requirements and controls.\nAutomation, Documentation, and Continuous Improvement\nDevelop automation to improve operational efficiency using Python, Ansible, Terraform, APIs, or similar tools.\nReduce repetitive operational tasks through scripting, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code practices.\nMaintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, standards, procedures, and operational runbooks.\nEnsure network inventories, configuration records, monitoring systems, and internal platforms contain current information.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Global Network Operations organization.\nResearch relevant industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to the firm.\nQualifications\nTo land this role you will need:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience and certifications.\n8+ years of enterprise network engineering and operational support experience.\nStrong experience supporting large-scale, highly available, and mission-critical global network environments.\nExperience building and managing relationships with senior technical customers and stakeholders.\nExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding, and globally distributed environment.\nSolid organizational skills, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and accountability for assigned work.\nRequired Technical Experience\nRouting, Switching, and Connectivity\nExtensive experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRF, QoS, Policy-Based Routing, HSRP, STP, and related enterprise routing and switching technologies.\nExperience supporting Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching platforms;
