From strategic marketing and financial management to human resources and operational oversight, you’ll have the opportunity to optimize processes and implement game-changing policies.\nResponsibilities\nPosition Purpose: The QA Engineer is responsible for assuring the quality and stability of the Nexus Futures trading ecosystem, including order management, execution services, broker and exchange connectivity, and post-trade processing. The role delivers comprehensive test coverage across business initiatives and platform modernisation efforts through a combination of functional testing, automation, risk-based quality assurance, and release validation. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the QA Engineer helps ensure reliable, resilient, and scalable trading solutions that support StoneX's futures business and clients globally.\nThe team is actively investing in AI-assisted software delivery and quality engineering. The successful candidate will be encouraged to leverage AI tools to improve test design, automation development, defect analysis, documentation, and overall delivery efficiency, while maintaining appropriate governance and quality controls.\nTesting is performed in both manual and automated fashion, but the team focuses on expanding the automated test suites. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT\nPrimary duties will include:\nCollaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. \nOwn test strategy, estimation, test planning and test execution for new features, enhancements, and production fixes. \nIdentify and prioritize test cases for automation, considering both functional and non-functional requirements and implementing the existing test automation frameworks for backend side of trade system in Specflow/ReqNRoll. \nTest end-to-end trading flows across, execution services, FIX gateways, exchange/broker connectivity and downstream processing. \nAnalyse server and application logs, system data to isolate defects, support root-cause analysis and provide clear evidence to Engineering. \nAnalyse complex systems, spot trends, draw conclusions, and produce specifications and decisions. \nPerform API, service, database and message-level testing using appropriate tools and SQL queries. \nAssess release risk, define test exit criteria and provide clear QA recommendations for UAT, production deployment and operational readiness. \nManaging the release deployment in various environments with cooperation with different teams. \nContribute actively to requirements refinement, Three Amigos discussions, sprint planning, defect triage, demonstrations and retrospectives. \nDocument test plans, test cases, and test results to facilitate communication and knowledge sharing within the team. \nImprove QA practices through peer review, reusable test assets, knowledge sharing and measurable reduction of manual regression effort. \nQualifications\nTo Land this role you will need:\nStrong professional experience testing complex trading, financial, transactional or other high-integrity backend systems. \nHands-on experience of manual functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing in an Agile delivery environment. \nConfident API and backend-service testing, with the ability to validate requests, responses, events and persisted data. \nBasic SQL skills for data interrogation, reconciliation and test-evidence preparation. \nExperience diagnosing issues through application logs, service behaviour, databases and message flows. \nPractical automation experience using C# or a comparable language to extend the existing test framework. \nExperience with Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines and test execution within build and deployment tooling. \nAbility to translate requirements and business workflows into clear, risk-based test coverage and traceable evidence. \nStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication. \nExperience taking testing from requirements analysis through QA sign-off, UAT support and production release. \nWhat will make you stand out:\nExchange-traded derivatives, particularly US Futures. \nElectronic order entry, order management or execution management systems. \nFIX protocol, including session behaviour and execution-report-based order lifecycles. \nHigh-throughput or low-latency distributed systems and asynchronous messaging technologies. \nOperational resilience, failover, disaster recovery and controlled production releases. \nExperience with tools or technologies such as Postman, Swagger, SQL Server, Kafka, Kubernetes, Rancher, TeamCity, Jenkins, Octopus, Jira and Confluence. \nExperience evaluating and adopting emerging QA technologies, including AI-assisted test generation, intelligent test selection, automated defect analysis, synthetic test data generation, and quality analytics.\nKeen interest in understanding the distributed architecture\nWays of working\nBuilds effective relationships across Product, Business Analysis, Engineering, QA and Operations.\nChallenges requirements constructively and raises delivery or quality risks early with supporting evidence.\nTakes ownership of test outcomes while remaining collaborative and pragmatic.\nBalances detailed functional investigation with automation and continuous improvement.\nShares domain knowledge and supports peer review to strengthen team resilience.\nEducation / Certification Requirements:\nDegree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience. \nISTQB or relevant testing
