This role is suited for a hands-on engineer who can develop and enhance mission-critical payment applications, provide deep technical ownership for complex production issues, and drive continuous improvement through automation, cloud engineering, and AI-enabled solutions. The successful candidate will work across application development, L3 incident/problem resolution, platform reliability, and intelligent automation to help build scalable, resilient, and future-ready payment platforms.\nPrimary duties will include:\nApplication Development & Engineering:\nDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade payment applications using Java/.NET and modern engineering practices.\nBuild and support APIs, integrations, and application services that enable secure and reliable payment processing.\nParticipate across the software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, solution design, coding, testing, release support, and post-implementation validation.\nCollaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and support teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and maintainable technology solutions.\nLevel 3 Problem Resolution:\nProvide Level 3 technical ownership for complex issues across payment applications, databases, integrations, APIs, and cloud-hosted services.\nLead deep-dive troubleshooting, root cause analysis, defect identification, and permanent fix implementation for recurring or high-impact incidents.\nWork closely with development and operations teams to resolve code-level, configuration, performance, and data-related issues.\nSupport major incident restoration activities while ensuring long-term corrective actions are delivered through engineering improvements.\nAI Development & Intelligent Automation:\nIdentify, design, and develop AI-enabled solutions that improve application support, incident analysis, operational efficiency, and knowledge discovery.\nContribute to Generative AI and Agentic AI use cases such as support assistants, automated RCA summaries, log analysis, alert correlation, and intelligent ticket triage.\nUse AI tools and frameworks to accelerate development, improve code quality, enhance documentation, and reduce manual support effort.\nPartner with technology teams to embed AI-driven insights and automation into payment application support and engineering workflows.\nCloud Engineering & Platform Reliability:\nSupport, enhance, and troubleshoot applications hosted on Azure and related cloud platforms.\nWork with cloud-native services, containers, Kubernetes, monitoring, logging, and deployment automation to improve reliability and operational readiness.\nContribute to performance tuning, resilience improvements, security compliance, disaster recovery readiness, and cloud cost optimization.\nDevOps, Automation & Continuous Improvement:\nDevelop automation scripts and tools using Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies to reduce manual effort and improve response times.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines, release validation, environment automation, and deployment governance for payment applications.\nDrive shift-left improvements by converting recurring support issues into permanent engineering fixes, automation, monitoring enhancements, or knowledge articles.\nITIL Process Adherence:\nEnsure compliance with ITIL processes, particularly Incident Management and Problem Management, to ensure service continuity and minimize downtime.\nContribute to the implementation and improvement of ITIL best practices within the organization.\nDocumentation & Reporting:\nMaintain accurate records of incidents, problems, changes, and resolutions.\nGenerate and analyze reports on service performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.\nQualifications\nTo land this role you will need:\nStrong hands-on experience in application development using Java or .NET, with the ability to understand, debug, enhance, and support enterprise applications.\nExperience supporting mission-critical applications at Level 3, including code-level troubleshooting, RCA, defect resolution, and production stability improvements.\nWorking knowledge of payment applications, APIs, integrations, transaction processing, or financial services technology would be highly valuable.\nDatabase experience with MongoDB and SQL, including query analysis, stored procedures, performance troubleshooting, and data issue investigation.\nHands-on experience with Azure or other major cloud platforms, including application hosting, monitoring, security, and infrastructure troubleshooting.\nExperience with automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.\nUnderstanding of DevOps, CI/CD, observability, logging, monitoring, and incident tracking tools.\nGood understanding of ITIL practices, particularly Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Knowledge Management.\nExposure to AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Azure AI Services, OpenAI, AI-assisted development,
