The position is a temporary assignment for one year. We are open to a hybrid working arrangement, allowing remote work half of the time.\nYour role and responsibilities\nAs an AI Agent Engineer, you design, develop, and continuously improve AI agents and intelligent decision-support solutions that help supply chain professionals make better decisions and execute work more efficiently.\nYou work at the intersection of supply chain, business processes, data, analytics, and modern AI technologies. Your focus is not only on building AI solutions, but on understanding operational challenges and translating them into secure, scalable, and business-relevant AI capabilities.\nSuccess in this role comes from your ability to combine technical expertise with business understanding, connect diverse systems and data sources, and identify opportunities where AI agents can create tangible business value.\nYou will collaborate closely with Customer Service, Planning, Sales, Logistics, IT, Data & Analytics, and Digital teams to shape the next generation of AI-enabled ways of working.\nThe role reports to the Head of Supply Chain Development, BA Containerboard.\nYour key responsibilities include:\nDesign, develop, deploy, and maintain AI agents supporting planning, order fulfilment, customer service, sales, logistics, and business decision-making\nIdentify and prioritize opportunities where AI agents and automation can improve supply chain performance and business outcomes\nBuild human-AI interfaces, including chat solutions, web applications, approval workflows, and ERP-integrated assistants\nDevelop autonomous agent workflows that combine AI reasoning, business rules, and enterprise data\nDesign and implement integrations between AI agents and enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, Data Platforms, and Microsoft 365\nCollaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into practical AI solutions\nBuild and maintain semantic data models and knowledge layers enabling AI agents to understand business context\nEvaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms, and models and assess their applicability to business use cases\nEstablish monitoring, testing, and performance measurement for AI solutions to ensure reliability, quality, and business value\nWork closely with data and analytics teams to improve data quality, accessibility, and AI readiness\nSupport change management and adoption of AI-enabled ways of working across the organization\nRelevant academic background in engineering, computer science, data science, information technology, or a related field\nExperience in software development, automation, data engineering, analytics and AI\nStrong interest in applying AI, AI agents, automation, and emerging technologies to solve real business problems\nUnderstanding of supply chain processes such as planning, customer service, logistics, inventory management, or order fulfilment is highly beneficial\nHands-on experience building and orchestrating AI agents using tools such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Agent Framework, Azure AI Stack or similar\nHand-on experience with agentic and low code platforms Power Platform, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or similar\nHands-on experience building Human-AI interfaces using tools like Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Teams Apps, as well as building modern UI based web application using React based frameworks (Next.JS, FastAPI, NodeJS)\nFamiliarity with AI and agent technologies, large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI search & embeddings\nExperience with REST APIs, MCP servers, enterprise integrations, and business systems such as ERP, CRM, and data platforms\nKnowledge of modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Fabric, Databricks, or similar technologies\nUnderstanding of AI governance, security, identity management, and responsible AI principles\nAbility to combine technical expertise with business understanding and create practical, value-driven solutions\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills\nCuriosity to challenge existing ways of working and continuously explore new opportunities enabled by AI\nStructured, proactive, and collaborative way of working\nFluency in English\nYour way of working fits our culture when you aim high and move things forward with courage, adapt to changing situations and learn quickly, use data to solve problems and make decisions, and take ownership of your work.
