They solve the company’s most complex and ambiguous engineering problems, connect technology strategy to business outcomes, and establish the standards for engineering excellence across our products and platforms.\nThis is a hands-on role for a technical visionary who can move between architecture, code, product strategy, and executive decision-making. You will partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, Finance, and Compliance to create clarity, make durable decisions, and build systems that scale with Storable’s growth.\nYou will shape the future of FMS, CRM, Commerce, Marketplace, and shared technology capabilities-including how Storable applies AI to build better products, improve operations, and increase the speed and quality of engineering delivery.\nWhat you'll do every day\nSet company-wide technical direction for product and platform architecture across FMS, CRM, Commerce, Marketplace, and shared capabilities.\nDefine and drive multi-year architecture transformations that improve resiliency, observability, flexibility, delivery speed, and cost efficiency.\nMake critical decisions about system design, service boundaries, data contracts, and platform interfaces for performance, scalability, and resilience at millions of TPS.\nStay hands-on by writing code, reviewing designs, prototyping solutions, and directly delivering outcomes tracked at the Storable executive level.\nLead the design of AI- and GenAI-powered capabilities, including agent-callable service interfaces, intelligent decision systems, and safe evaluation practices.\nEstablish AI-native engineering practices such as spec-driven development, GenAI-assisted automation, and AI-powered operational tooling.\nInfluence technical and business decisions across organizational boundaries, including with senior executives, without relying on direct authority.\nDefine and champion standards for architecture, software quality, availability, security, operational excellence, and cost management.\nLead engineering efforts that improve customer experience through fewer transaction failures, lower latency, and reliable commerce at global scale.\nMentor Staff and senior engineers toward Principal-level scope, judgment, and impact through architecture guidance, design reviews, and hands-on coaching.\nWhat you need to bring\n12+ years of software development experience, including deep expertise in distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.\nA track record of leading architecture transformations across multiple teams and services, including driving adoption through delivery.\nExperience designing and operating highly available systems at large scale, including environments handling millions of TPS.\nDemonstrated ability to influence technical strategy and business outcomes across organizational boundaries and at senior executive levels.\nA hands-on engineering practice: you write code, review designs, prototype critical ideas, and stay close to production realities.\nAI fluency, with experience using AI tools or GenAI techniques to improve engineering workflows, product capabilities, or operational outcomes.\nBonus points\nExperience with FMS, CRM, commerce, payments, or subscription systems operating across multiple currencies, territories, and regulatory environments.\nExperience designing agent-callable services, AI platforms, intelligent decision systems, or AI-assisted software development workflows.\nExpertise in resiliency engineering, including graceful degradation, blast-radius isolation, chaos testing, and recovery design.\nA record of mentoring senior engineers toward Principal-level scope and strengthening technical leadership across an organization.\nExperience building simulation, forecasting, experimentation, or ML-driven recommendation systems.\nExperience supporting international expansion through local payment methods, regulatory compliance, and market-specific adaptation.\nAll applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States and able to work a hybrid schedule in our Bellevue, WA office.\nAbout Us:\nAt Storable, we're redefining property management for specialty real estate.
