At Storage Scholars, egos are left at the door, wins are celebrated as a team, and learning never stops.\nAs an Inside Sales Representative at Storage Scholars, your primary responsibility is being a consultative guide for customers seeking solutions for student move-in, move-out, storage, and shipping. As a member of the greater Customer Experience Team, you will be a crucial link between the customer and their understanding and adoption of the services that we offer.\nWhat you’ll do:\nField inbound leads from both lead form submissions and inbound calls.\nMake proactive phone calls to existing and former customers to promote service usage.\nProvide service estimates for customers via call, SMS, and email.\nGuide customers through their order flow in our online portal to book their moves.\nPromote additional services and service upgrades to customers, as well as generate referrals. \nRequired:\nExceptional communication with strong sales aptitude.\nStrong critical thinking skills.\nAbility to handle fast-paced changes and intense workloads.\nStrong phone presence.\nHigh emotional intelligence to understand fellow team members and clients alike.\nTechnologically savvy, with the ability to learn new software rapidly.\nPreferred:\n1-2 years of customer-facing experience (such as retail, hospitality, or customer service).\nScope:\nFull-time position, 40 hours per week, M-F. \nThe ability to work a flexible schedule on evenings and weekends as necessary during our peak season (March - September).\nPreferred Start Date: 11/15/26\nCompensation:\n$24,000/year base salary, plus a 6% commission on total sales generated. On-target first-year earnings: approximately $40,000 - $50,000. \n$20 advance per customer registration, paid monthly.\nThe remaining balance of your 6% commission is paid out after services are fully rendered and paid for by the customer (minus the initial $20, up-front commission per customer).The remaining 6% commission for service is paid out three times per year (July, October, and January).Services completed in January - June are paid in July. Services completed from July - September are paid in October. Packing supply kits are shipped out to students as requested. The student packs their items, uploads a few photos to our portal, selects their desired insurance, locks it in their room, and can leave at will. Thanks to our partnership with the university, our staff comes in once the campus is vacant and moves all of the student belongings into a storage facility for the summer.
