This individual will help design and develop electronic components used in industrial battery chargers and inverters, engine starting systems, battery monitoring and management systems, and DC back-up power systems across a wide power range (150W to 100kW). This person will be involved from concept investigation and design, through successful production launch and support of these products.\nResponsibilities\nDesign system controllers, sensors, and accessories for power systems and battery monitors with embedded microcontrollers. \nDevelop and modify embedded firmware as needed to support hardware development, board bring-up, system integration, diagnostics, and product testing. \nContribute to sustaining efforts on existing legacy products. \nSpecify and design production tests and equipment to support the introduction of new products into production. \nPerform required testing for design verification, regulatory compliance, and system integration to ensure performance and reliability under all operating conditions. \nParticipate in the full life cycle of product development including requirement definition, design, implementation, test, and maintenance.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar related field with 8 or more years of electronics design engineering experience.\nStrong engineering fundamentals in electronic digital circuit design, development, and testing with microcontroller-based embedded systems. \nExperience with Schematic capture and PCB layout design for mixed signal boards. \nKnowledge of board level communications (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, etc.). \nMust have experience using lab test equipment such as high-speed digital scopes, power supplies, electronic loads, voltmeters, and logic analyzers. \nExperience taking a design from concept into volume production. \nFlexible and independent team player who actively establishes and maintains effective working relationships. \nSelf-starter with a mindset of solving problems. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with power electronics and analog sensors. \nFamiliarity with computer programming and scripting languages (C, C++, BASH). \nLocation: This position is located in Longmont, CO.\nBase Compensation: $105,000 - $155,000 is the projected base salary range and will be determined by the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.\nBonus: This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.\nClosing Date: November 11th.
