Die cutting machines can be flat bed or rotary machines. A successful operator has mechanical abilities, a enjoyment for working with their hands, strong attention to detail, and mathematical ability. This position's rate of pay starts at $16.00 plus shift differential. Shift is Sunday 10:00pm - 7:00am, Monday-Friday 12:00pm - 7:00am.\nThis position works 37 hours but is paid for 40.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities\nRead and understand job jacket to ensure you have the required materials and die needed to complete the job.\nSet up machine by positioning dies, aligning materials and adjusting machine settings as needed.\nTest a run to check the positioning is correct. Have supervisor sign off.\nMonitor and quality of the output, performing inspections to ensure that products meet specifications.\nConduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure they operate efficiently.\nComplies with established safety procedures and policies.\nWorks with other departments and maintenance personnel on projects and/or validations.\nFocuses on Continuous Improvement, Quality, Improved Cycle Times, Safety, Cost Reductions, and Customer Satisfaction.\nComplies with company policies, procedures, and core processes.\nDaily and timely attendance required to be successful.\nPerforms other job duties as assigned.\nJob Requirements\nMust be able to lift / push/ pull up to 20 lbs unassisted (or more occasionally).\nMust be able to stand for the majority of shift - 2 hour increments.\nShort distance walking required with rolls to be placed on shipping table.\nMust be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.\nMust be able to differentiate between color variance.\nAbility to work well with others.\nMust be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.\nMust be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits.\nWillingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and if needed, holidays and weekends.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nMust be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.\nEducation and Experience\nHS Diploma or GED required.\nMust be able to pass drug screen and background check.\nPhysical Requirements & Environmental Conditions\n· Manufacturing environment - exposure to some hazardous conditions but not limited to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. Safety regulations in place following OSHA guidelines.\nPhysical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
