Maintains (through preventative maintenance) repairs and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical systems for production equipment.\nMaintenance Technician Primary Functions and Responsibilities:\nEnsures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on Mark Andy Printing Presses, UTECO Printing Press, Die Cutting Equipment, Mark Andy Rotoflex Inspection Equipment, motors, pneumatics, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.\nLocates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.\nRemoves defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, forklifts, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.\nDetermines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.\nAdjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments with appropriate tools.\nControls downtime by informing production workers and management of routine preventive maintenance techniques, and schedules as needed.\nFabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.\nMaintains equipment, parts & and supplies inventories.\nConserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.\nProvides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.\nPrepares mechanical maintenance reports: collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information & trends.\nMaintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.\nMaintains safe & clean working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nMaintenance Technician Requirements:\nMinimum 2 years of appropriate experience\nWorking knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment and procedures\nExperience troubleshooting PLC’s, instrumentation, and other electronics.\nBasic Welding Skills a plus.\nAbility to follow Wiring Schematics and diagnose control circuitry.\nFamiliarity with OSHA and Environmental Regulations.\nSensitive to the needs of a diverse employee base\nHS Diploma or GED required.\nExcellent communications\nPrevious print industry experience is required and troubleshooting printing related challenges\nMust be able to stand for the majority of the shift\nMust be able to perform well under deadline constraints.\nMust be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits.\nWillingness to work overtime, and if needed weekends.\nMust be willing to learn and attend training classes as defined by Management.\nPC literacy and proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\nGood communication skills and ability to work a flexible working schedule including shift work.\nAbility to push, pull, bend, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.\nAAP/EEO Statement\nBrook + Whittle LTD provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
