It’s exciting times to be at stow!\nLocation: Adairsville, GA\n This role is responsible for safely operating overhead cranes and material handling equipment to support warehouse and manufacturing operations within the facility. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the position plays a critical role in the efficient movement, storage, and staging of raw materials and finished goods while ensuring adherence to all safety, quality, and operational standards. The primary focus will be on maintaining safe lifting practices, supporting production flow, and contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.\nKey Responsibilities / Tasks\nOperate overhead cranes and material handling equipment in full compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific procedures\nPerform pre-use inspections and routine equipment checks, promptly identifying and reporting defects to minimize downtime and support continuous flow\nFollow all established lifting protocols, load limits, and rigging standards to ensure safe, efficient material movement and eliminate waste related to damage or rework\nFollow ERP instructions indicating which (metal) coil to place on which machine\nPosition coils on machines\nStrap and remove coil remnants and record them in SAP\nUnload coil trucks\nClear the slitting line output table\nStack coils by type and supplier in designated locations\nFollow supervisor instructions to improve processes and prevent damage or complaints\nAdapt to changing work priorities\nPrepare, move, store, and unload materials within required timeframes\nMaintain cleanliness and organization\nUnpack coils and dispose of waste\nComply with environmental standards\nEnsure quality and stability of coil stacking\nFollow and enforce safety rules\nReport all activities in end-of-shift documentation for performance tracking\nSupport colleagues as needed\nSeparate rejected/blocked coils from usable stock\nParticipate in inventory and cycle counts\nConduct 5S audits according to procedures\n Knowledge & Skills Requirements\nKnowledge of warehouse layout (metal coil locations)\nProduct knowledge\nWarehouse operations knowledge\nRF Scanner and ERP system experience \nAbility to operate a forklift (valid license required)\nOverhead crane certification preferred\n What do we offer you?\nPTO, days paid sick leave, 11 US paid holidays\nMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance\nCompany paid Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance\nCompany Paid Life Insurance\nCompany Paid Accidental Death & Dismemberment\n401K with employer match, currently 4%\nPartial Tuition Reimbursement after 12 months\nTobacco Free Campus\nQuality, Safety, Health, Environment, Compliance\nEvery employee at stow contributes to a safe and compliant work environment.
