It's exciting times to be at stow!\nLocation: Romeoville, IL - or remotely\n The Site Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of on-site project activities, from mobilization through commissioning and final acceptance. This role leads all field operations, ensuring safe, on-time, and high-quality installation of automated material handling systems while acting as the primary on-site interface with the customer.\nThis position is a key member of the project leadership team and drives coordination across engineering, controls, commissioning, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSite Execution & Leadership\n- Lead all on-site project activities from mobilization through commissioning and demobilization\n- Manage installation and integration of automated systems (shuttles, conveyors, AS/RS, robotics)\n- Drive daily execution to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets\n- Act as the on-site decision maker and escalation point\nSafety & Compliance\n- Own site safety program and enforce all safety standards (OSHA / local regulations)\n- Conduct daily safety walks, toolbox talks, and audits\n- Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety procedures\n- Drive a zero-incident culture\nPlanning & Schedule Management\n- Develop and manage short-term and look-ahead schedules\n- Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors\n- Identify risks early and implement mitigation actions\n- Track progress vs. plan and adjust execution strategy\nStakeholder & Customer Management\n- Serve as primary on-site contact for the customer\n- Lead coordination meetings\n- Communicate progress, risks, and recovery plans\nInstallation & Quality Management\n- Oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls installation\n- Ensure installation meets engineering specifications\n- Manage punch lists and inspections\nCommissioning & Handover\n- Coordinate transition to commissioning teams\n- Support testing, validation, and acceptance\n- Lead site closeout and documentation\nReporting & Controls\n- Produce site reports (progress, risks, safety)\n- Track budget, productivity, and materials\n- Maintain documentation and support forecasting\n - 5+ years in site management, construction, or industrial installation\n- Experience with automated material handling systems or robotics\n- Proven leadership of field teams and subcontractors\n-The travel percentage will vary depending on project lifecycle, it should average at 60 to 90% across the year.\n What do we offer you?\nPTO, sick leave, & paid holidays\nMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance\nCompany paid Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance\nCompany Paid Life Insurance\nCompany Paid Accidental Death & Dismemberment\n401K with employer match, currently 4%\nPartial Tuition Reimbursement after 12 months\nGross Salary\nSalary Range: $100 to $125k\nQuality, Safety, Health, Environment, Compliance\nEvery employee at stow contributes to a safe and compliant work environment.
