It’s exciting times to be at stow!\nLocation: Adairsville, GA\n The upright induction Painter/Operator applies specialized dry paint powder to steel uprights, prepping surfaces, operating paint booth, and curing items in ovens. They manage colour changes, ensure proper thickness and adhesion, maintain equipment, and inspect finished products for quality. Key skills include manual dexterity, attention to detail, and safety compliance.\nSurface Preparation: Maintain pre-treatment degreaser, rinsing, and phosphating tanks prior powder coating process.\n\nApplication: Operate electrostatic paint booth to apply powder uniformly to parts on a conveyor line.\n\nEquipment Operation: Adjust booth settings, air pressure, spray guns, and oven temperatures.\n\nQuality Control: Inspect parts before and after painting for defects, ensuring proper coating thickness (mil thickness).\n\nMaintenance & Cleanliness: Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot paint booths, hoppers, and spray guns.\n\nColor Changes: Perform efficient changeovers of powder types and colors.\n\nResponsible for the powder thickness and color requested by the customer.\n\nResponsible for the pre-treatment and parameters on induction coils.\n\nOperates conveyors for profile transport\n\nQuality:\nBath controls: ph tab, titration products\nPowder thickness checks: Elcometer\nTemperature Control: Infrared Camera\nPPE: glasses, overalls, mask, safety shoes, earplugs, cap\nBlow guns\nATEX vacuum cleaner to clean the floor, powder bin etc\nCleaning machine to clean the floor\nPlastic bag + shovel or dust collector to collect powder.\nSpare parts for preventive maintenance\n Experience: Previous experience in industrial painting or powder coating is often required.\nPhysical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.\nTechnical Skills: Familiarity with spray equipment, safety protocols, and ability to read blueprints.\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent generally required.\n What do we offer you?\nPTO, days paid sick leave, 11 US paid holidays\nMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance\nCompany paid Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance\nCompany Paid Life Insurance\nCompany Paid Accidental Death & Dismemberment\n401K with employer match, currently 4%\nPartial Tuition Reimbursement after 12 months\nTobacco Free Campus\nQuality, Safety, Health, Environment, Compliance\nEvery employee at stow contributes to a safe and compliant work environment.
