It's exciting times to be at Movu! (pronounced Mow-voo)\n The PROJECT MANAGER is an integral person in helping our customer’s vision for an automated storage solution from Movu US come to life. The core objective is to execute sold projects within the set timelines and budget. Oftentimes, there’s close collaboration with the assigned Racking Project Manager from stow US.\nSolutions: Fully automated storage solutions including pallet shuttles (atlas), tote shuttles (eScala), as well as automated mobile robots (iFollow) and ancillary systems such as conveyors and lifts.\nCustomers: End users are located throughout the United States and Canada. We work with many of the leading integrators as our Sales partners.\nTypical project size: 1-40M\nAs our PROJECT MANAGER, you…\nLead the handoff from Sales and Sales Engineering and conduct internal and customer kickoff meetings\nServe as the customer’s single point of contact throughout the project\nDefine project roles, communications, meeting cadence, and escalation paths\nOwn the integrated schedule across engineering, procurement, delivery, installation, controls, commissioning, customer activities, and acceptance\nCreate material and delivery schedules aligned with the project and customer timelines\nProactively communicate progress, risks, roadblocks, recovery plans, and solutions\nOwn project financials, purchasing, change orders, and milestone invoicing\nCoordinate procurement, delivery, installers, and contractors for safe, on-time execution\nConfirm site readiness, interfaces, access, utilities, and installation requirements\nAlign customers and integrators on the plan, responsibilities, risks, and decisions\nMaintain project controls, mitigate risks, and drive actions and recovery to closure\nCoordinate site readiness, safety, contractors, materials, progress, and issues with the Site Manager\nLead technical resolution through the appropriate experts without assuming specialist duties\nLead installation through commissioning, acceptance, and Service handover with cross-functional support\nBuild trust through clear communication, timely decisions, ownership, and follow-through\nClose punch-list, documentation, commercial, and handover items; capture lessons learned\n This lets us know you’re up for the job\n5+ years of experience in a directly relatable position\nExperience with the complexities of executing multimillion-dollar custom warehouse systems projects from A-Z is required\nBachelor’s degree is preferred but not required\nPMP certification is preferred but not required\nSAP knowledge is beneficial\nTravel throughout North America to customer sites, 30-75% across the year; varying based on the project phase. Usually no more than 1 week at a time, but could be more during a project startup.\nIf living remotely, regular travel to our office in Romeoville to work closely with Engineering and Management (20-30% depending on project travel requirements)\nOn rare occasion, you may also be traveling to our headquarters in Belgium (possibly once a year for no more than 2 weeks)\nWe work closely with our European colleagues. The morning hours are the most important so we can connect with them while our business hours overlap across time zones. Our business hours are 8 am - 5 pm CST.
