This role builds foundational skills in advanced diagnostics, hydraulics, powertrains, electronics, and other technologies, preparing graduates for careers as specialized technicians in industries such as construction, agriculture, mining, and power generation.\nThis program requires a rotation of living in Americus, GA and your Stowers location for 8 weeks at a time until graduation which is usually about 18-24 months.\nKnowledge and Skill Requirements:\nGeneral knowledge of engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.\nFamiliarity with basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring instruments, laptops, diagnostic software, and rigging equipment.\nAbility to follow safety procedures and contamination control standards.\nStrong communication skills and ability to complete accurate documentation.\nFlexibility to work various schedules, including overtime and on-call assignments.\nPreferred Qualification(s):\nPrior exposure to mechanical or technical work environments.\nInterest in heavy equipment technology and diagnostics.\nEducation Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nCompletion of ThinkBIG program coursework leading to an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in South Georgia.\nEssential Job Functions:\nComplete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-work metrics.\nWork safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures.\nComplete related paperwork and access required databases (work orders, parts orders, DBS, SIS Web).\nRemove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.\nFollow contamination control and HAZMAT regulations.\nComplete all assigned training in a timely and proficient manner.\nParticipate in internships and on-the-job training at the dealership.\nLeadership Responsibilities:\nThis position does not include supervisory responsibilities but requires accountability for quality work and adherence to safety and training standards.\nPreferred Experience and Skills:\nOne to three years of related experience or training in mechanical or technical fields.\nAbility to provide accurate information for quoting and job documentation.\nClean driving record and ability to obtain CDL within 90 days for field assignments.\nPhysical and Mental Requirements:\nAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy components.\nManual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.\nAbility to stand, walk, climb, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.\nMust pass DOT physical and Work Steps assessment.\nAbility to wear PPE and meet MSHA certification requirements if applicable.\nWork Environment:\nCombination of classroom, shop, and field environments.\nExposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and outdoor conditions.\nNoise levels may vary from moderate to loud.\nRequires travel for field assignments and training.\nThis position is in a classroom, office and shop environment. Personal protective equipment must be worn in areas as required.
