Outreach We share the results of our successes with the community.\nStrata-G is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineerwith the following:\nSummary:\nUnder general supervision, performs broad, complex engineering assignments requiring originality, ingenuity, and the development of new methods. Assignments start with Pre-Job Briefs or similar preparation for the specific task. Provides advanced technical support related to planning, designing, analyzing, constructing, and maintaining structures, systems, and components, and reviews the outcome to capture lessons learned or possible process improvements. Provides engineering advice and displays technical competence requiring minimal direction from higher-level engineering staff.\nMajor Duties:\nPerforms non-standard engineering, varied engineering, and new-to-you assignments, typically in the areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks, resolution of field problems, and resolution of quality events.\nReceives minimal assistance and instruction and works autonomously on most assignments and solutions.\nEnsures compliance with government regulations and with organization, industry, and customer engineering standards.\nIndependently evaluates, selects, and applies a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications for tasks not previously performed.\nContinues to develop knowledge of the organization, its processes, and its customers.\nWorks on special projects, as directed.\nProvides suggestions for improving processes and implements process improvements.\nMaintains a safety mindset.\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.\nDepending on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology, and Engineering Science may also be accepted.\nSkills & Knowledge:\nKnowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria.\nGood communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.\nAbility to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment.\nGood problem identification and problem resolution skills.\nDisplays informal leadership characteristics.\nExhibits a questioning attitude and practices self-checking.\nAdvanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role.\nKey Competencies:\nAdvanced technical capabilities, builds constructive relationships, communicates, desire to learn, ability to receive feedback, appropriate flexibility, shows creativity, drives improvement, professionalism, is results oriented, is quality oriented, is customer oriented.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe employee must be able to:\nRemain in a stationary position, walk, kneel, and crouch.\nOperate a computer on a continual basis and communicate with various levels of the organization.\nOccasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.\nTravel.\nJob Type:Full-Time/Onsite Only.
