We strive to make Stratas Foods a great place to work and are building a team capable of meeting our business goals.\nSchedule: Monday- Friday (6:00pm-2:30pm) with some weekend work and OT.\nMachine Operator candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work their bid shift, overtime, and weekends as required.\nThe tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, operate a motorized fork lift, prepare packaging, package product and other duties as assigned by supervision.\nKeep lines stocked with packaging materials.\n\nFill out appropriate paper related to the lines CCP’s, production, packaging materials.\n\nBasic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment.\n\nKnowledge of basic operation of equipment on the line.\n\nCommunicate with supervisor when line is down due to equipment or product supply.\n\nCommunicate with supervisor and leads when equipment needs attention.\n\nReport/resolve any observed quality issues while operating line.\n\nProper start up, running and shut down of line.\n\nProper tear down, cleaning, and reassembling pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment.\n\nKnowledge of chemical handling procedures including PPE required.\n\nKnowledge of process flow and ability to trace flow from source tank to filling process.\n\nBasic understanding of pumps, valves, and how to change filters.\n\nSuccessfully pass qualification test of that Operator 2 is responsible for.\n\n Education: High School Diploma or equivalent\nRelated Experience: Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment\nEquipment/Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge - data\n Competencies:\nEmployees are encouraged to participate in efficiency and safety improvement teams\nLearn and follow written rules and procedures\nProduce accurate documentation\nMaintain acceptable attendance\nWill have the opportunity to learn various positions\nMust fill in when needed in temporary/permanent vacancies\nMust adhere to and comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies\nAdditional information\nPhysical: This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights\nBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision\nStratas Foods is an equal opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any applicant or employee in any manner prohibited by law, including but not limited to, on the basis of race or color, religion, gender, age, genetic information, national origin/ancestry, mental or physical disability, family status/marital status, military/veteran status, and any other legally protected status.\nPay Transparency Nondiscrimination Provision-The Employer will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
