The world’s leading organizations turn to Stratasys to transform product design, bring agility to manufacturing and supply chains, and improve patient care.\nThis developing attorney position supports the company’s ethics and compliance, international trade, government contracts and employment-law needs under the direction of the VP, Head of Americas Legal and other senior Legal team members. The attorney provides practical legal advice, supports compliance programs and investigations, and advises Human Resources and management on routine employment matters. The role may also assist with other commercial and other Legal matters as assigned. The attorney is expected to build subject-matter expertise, exercise sound judgment within defined responsibilities, and promptly escalate material risks.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nLegal Compliance:\nSupport the company’s ethics and compliance program, including policies, procedures, training, communications, certifications, risk assessments, and periodic program reviews.\nAssist with anti-corruption, Code of Conduct, conflicts of interest and other assigned compliance matters.\nSupport compliance investigations, document relevant facts, track corrective actions, coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel, and escalate significant issues.\nSupport restricted-party screening, required registrations and filings, compliance records, and responses to internal and external information requests.\nWork with business functions and offices outside the United States to implement consistent compliance requirements.\nMonitor legal and regulatory developments and help update policies, guidance, training, and controls.\nAssist with the development and implementation of compliance programs, controls, processes, communications, and training for assigned compliance areas, including anti-corruption and export controls.\nTrade & Government Contract Compliance:\nProvide guidance, advice, and support regarding export and import classification determinations.\nProvide legal research, analysis, advice, and support regarding export/import and government contract compliance matters, and assist with programs, processes, and tools that support business and compliance objectives.\nSupport the development and maintenance of business processes, policies, tools, and guidelines related to import, export, customs, sanctions, and government contract compliance in line with corporate policies and legal/regulatory requirements.\nAssist with license/exception determinations for international shipments, Restricted Party Screening, AES filing support, release determinations, denied party screening, and export license compliance.\nSupport day-to-day security policies, procedures, processes, and controls related to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), as applicable.\nSupport compliance with the FAR/DFARS, EAR, ITAR, U.S. economic sanctions programs and \nEmployment:\nSupport Human Resources and management on routine employment matters, including hiring, performance management, accommodations, leave, investigations, discipline, terminations, and reductions in force, under the guidance of senior Legal team members.\nDraft and review employment agreements, offer documents, separation agreements, releases, policies, notices, and other employment-related materials.\nSupport internal workplace investigations and coordinate with outside counsel on employment disputes, agency matters, and litigation.\nAssist with employment-law compliance, manager guidance, and training across the Americas.\nIdentify issues requiring specialist or senior-level review and escalate them promptly.\nMust have for this role:\nJuris Doctorate, equivalent or greater from a program accredited by the American Bar Association\n\n2 or more years of applicable legal experience involving corporate compliance, government contracts, employment law, international trade compliance, or related compliance areas.\nAdmitted to the practice of law in at least one U.S. State\nStrong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally with business and legal stakeholders\nWorking knoweldge of corporate compliance principles and famillarity with one or more of the following areas: anti-corruption, codes of conduct, international trade compliance, government contracts, or related regulatory requirements.\nExposure to compliance program support, business process documentation, training materials, and legal/compliance process improvement initiatives.\nAbility to research, analyze, advise on, summarize, and communicate legal and compliance matters clearly to internal stakeholders and management.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nWorking knowledge of general commercial terms in purchase and sale agreements.\nDemonstrated experience supporting Sales teams or business stakeholders in collaboration with senior legal team members.\nPrior law firm experience supporting corporate, regulatory, compliance, government contracts, international trade, or commercial matters\nFamiliarity with one or more of the following areas: economic sanctions, export and imports classifications and documentation, FAR/DFARS, or CFIUS\nExperience working in a complex and sophisticated international business environment.\nTravel required: 10% of the time\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
