This role will define the overall SAP solution architecture, ensure alignment across functional and technical workstreams, and guide integrations between SAP and the broader enterprise application landscape.\nThe SAP Solution Architect will partner closely with business leaders, SAP functional teams, technical teams, enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and implementation partners to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, integrated, and aligned with long-term business and technology strategy.\nKey Responsibilities\nDefine and maintain the overall SAP solution architecture across business processes, applications, integrations, data, security, and infrastructure.\n\nProvide architectural leadership for SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.\n\nTranslate business requirements and strategic objectives into scalable SAP architecture and solution designs.\n\nEstablish architectural standards, principles, design patterns, and technical guardrails for the SAP program.\n\nLead solution-design sessions and architecture reviews across SAP functional and technical workstreams.\n\nEnsure effective integration between SAP and non-SAP enterprise applications, including cloud platforms, legacy systems, third-party applications, and data environments.\n\nEvaluate integration approaches involving APIs, middleware, interfaces, events, and batch processing.\n\nPartner with functional leads to ensure SAP module designs support end-to-end business processes and enterprise architecture standards.\n\nProvide oversight of SAP data architecture, master data, migration, reporting, and integration requirements.\n\nCollaborate with cybersecurity and IAM teams to incorporate security, roles, access controls, compliance, and segregation-of-duties requirements into solution designs.\n\nIdentify architectural risks, dependencies, technical debt, and integration challenges and drive appropriate resolution.\n\nReview solution designs and technical deliverables produced by implementation partners and consulting firms.\n\nEnsure architectural decisions consider scalability, performance, resiliency, maintainability, and long-term support.\n\nSupport testing, cutover planning, deployment, go-live readiness, and post-production stabilization from an architecture perspective.\n\nMaintain architecture documentation, diagrams, decision records, roadmaps, and future-state designs.\n\nCommunicate complex technical concepts and architecture decisions effectively to technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n10+ years of SAP technology experience, with significant experience in SAP architecture or enterprise solution design.\n\nProven experience serving as an SAP Solution Architect, SAP Enterprise Architect, or Lead SAP Architect on large-scale enterprise implementations.\n\nStrong experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture, implementation, migration, or modernization.\n\nBroad understanding of SAP functional and technical architecture and how SAP capabilities integrate across enterprise business processes.\n\nExtensive experience designing SAP and non-SAP integrations within complex enterprise environments.\n\nStrong understanding of APIs, middleware, data integration, interfaces, cloud technologies, and enterprise integration patterns.\n\nExperience evaluating technical designs and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.\n\nDemonstrated ability to work across functional, technical, infrastructure, security, data, and business teams.\n\nExperience providing architectural oversight to large consulting firms and systems-integration partners.\n\nExcellent stakeholder management, facilitation, documentation, and executive communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience within the utility or energy industry and familiarity with complex regulated enterprise environments.\n\nArchitecture experience involving SAP platforms such as S/4HANA, ECC, SAP BTP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, EAM/Asset Management, or related SAP solutions.\n\nExperience with SAP integration technologies and modern API/integration architectures.\n\nUnderstanding of SAP security, IAM, GRC, roles, and segregation-of-duties considerations.\n\nExperience with cloud and hybrid architectures involving Azure, AWS, or other enterprise cloud platforms.\n\nFamiliarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and architecture-governance processes.\n\nSAP architecture, TOGAF, cloud, or related professional certifications
