The University relies on assistant faculty to support instructional faculty by interacting with students in online classrooms that have many students. The successful Assistant Faculty is student focused and able to create and implement various methods of communication and supplemental instruction to support student success. This position works a defined number of hours per week and reports into key Faculty roles within the designated team.\nTo create an optimal learning environment, the University relies on Assistant Faculty to support instructional Faculty by interacting with students in online classrooms that have a large number of students.\n\nWe are currently in search of two passionate part-time Assistant Faculty to support our Online undergraduate level Business class for the upcoming Winter quarter starting January 4th, 2027. The first Assistant Faculty will support BUS335 Staffing Organization. The second Assistant Faculty will support BUS407 Training and Development.\n\nNOTE: Applications must include copies of unofficial transcripts to receive full consideration. \nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nAnalyze student activity within discussions and assessments and respond appropriately based upon training and input from the lead instructor.\n\nAssist in managing student communications.\n\nEscalate unique issues to the lead instructor.\n\nAssist with grading and providing feedback.\n\nMonitor students’ engagement levels and provide recommendations on the best approach on how to increase engagement.\n\nAssist the lead instructor as needed or directed, providing tutoring, live sessions, or other student support.\n\nAssist the lead instructor as needed or directed with student outreach.\n\nAssist the lead instructor as needed in developing supplemental support documents, videos, job aids.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nJob Skills:\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with faculty, coaches, and learners.\n\nDemonstrated effective time management skills.\n\nExcellent relationship-building, customer service, and problem resolution skills.\n\nDemonstrated strong attention to detail, initiative and follow-through.\n\nExperience working with a diversity of learning styles.\n\nComfortable using technology to facilitate learning\n\nWork Experience:\nPrevious teaching experience required.\n\nOnline teaching experience required.\n\n5 years of professional experience in Human Resource related role required OR at least 3 years of professional experience in Human Resource Management (preferred).Some professional experience in Human Resources required.\n\nEducation:Master’s degree in business or business related discipline with 27 graduate quarter credit (18 graduate semester credits) in business related course work.\nORMaster’s degree in Human Resource Management or any Master’s degree with 27 graduate quarter credit hours/18 semester credit hours in Human Resources (Human Resource Development, Human Resource Analytics & Management, Strategic Human Resource Management, Training and Development, etc.).\nCertificates, licenses and registrations:Professional certification in discipline specialty (if required dependent on course credentialing requirements).\nOther:\nAccess information using a computer.\n\nEffectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.\n\nEffectively cope with stressful situations.\n\nGood attendance.\n\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\n\nStrong mental acuity.\n\nMust be able to lift 25 lbs. \n\nWork Location Details:Many of our positions, including this role, are designed to be remote \"home office\" settings. \nEmployees working out of a home office are responsible for providing appropriate and safe office space, office furniture and organization, communication tools, and related items. These include: \n\nArranging for high-speed internet connection, printer and a dedicated phone line for business use. Specifics regarding expense coverage and reimbursement vary based on individual position categories.
