You will play a critical role in shaping the County's Microsoft 365 roadmap, strengthening the security and governance of our digital workplace, optimizing application services, and ensuring technology investments align with organizational priorities. Your leadership will help drive operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement while enabling exceptional service delivery for our community.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide strategic and operational leadership for enterprise application and productivity service teams\nLead the development and execution of the County's Microsoft 365 ecosystem roadmap to support organizational priorities and enhance the employee experience\nOversee the governance, security, performance, and continuous improvement of SharePoint and related collaboration platforms\nDrive application portfolio management and rationalization initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce complexity, and maximize business value from technology investments\nEnsure enterprise applications remain reliable, secure, and responsive to evolving business needs and operational requirement\nPartner with business leaders, stakeholders, and technology teams to identify opportunities for innovation and service enhancement\nLead strategic planning, prioritization, budgeting, resource allocation, and service delivery within the portfolio\nFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning while supporting the growth and development of staff\nChampion organizational change initiatives and support the adoption of modern digital workplace technologies\nMonitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform future technology strategies and investments\nQualifications and Skills:\nDegree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related discipline\nMinimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, enterprise applications, digital workplace services, or related technology environments including at least 5 years in a leadership role managing technical teams, supervisors, or complex operational function \nExperience developing and implementing technology strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks\nStrong knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies, including collaboration, productivity, and content management platforms\nExperience with SharePoint governance, security, administration, and optimization\nKnowledge of enterprise application management, application lifecycle practices, and portfolio rationalization\nUnderstanding of cybersecurity principles, information management, risk mitigation, and technology governance\nKnowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and integration of business applications\nStrategic thinker with the ability to align technology investments to organizational outcomes\nExceptional relationship-building, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement\nDemonstrated success leading through change and managing competing priorities\nAbility to influence decisions, build consensus, and foster collaboration across diverse teams\nCommitment to creating an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture\nConditions of Employment:\nSubmission of a Satisfactory Criminal Record Check \nWho We Are:\nStrathcona County is a specialized municipality located in the heart of Alberta.
