Be part of a team where performance, collaboration, and innovation come together to drive success.\nWe are actively seeking an Engineering Co-Op Student to join our Production Engineering Cold Lake Team in Calgary. Reporting to the Team Lead, Production, this role is responsible for supporting production engineering activity for Strathcona’s Cold Lake SAGD assets. The role will work with field operations staff and the asset team to optimize the production rate, well design, reservoir efficiency, equipment longevity, and operating costs.\nWe are looking for students to start in either January or May 2027 for 12- or 16-month terms.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDaily monitoring and reporting of area production volumes\nWork closely with field operations staff to trouble shoot well performance issues.\nMonitor well pair data quality to ensure that accurate instrumentation and testing data is collected.\nCreate production, downtime, and workover dashboards in Tableau to improve team efficiency with data review and analysis.\nAssist production engineers with day-to-day requirements as needed.\nProject reviews and lookbacks.\nQualification Include:\nEnrolled in a University Co-op or Internship program.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills - adaptable to a wide range of personalities.\nThrive in a collaborative team setting, intrinsically motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive attitude.\nGood verbal and written communication and presentation skills.\nGreat things aren’t done by one person, they’re done by a team.\nWe believe meaningful results come from people with unwavering commitment to integrity, energy, and intelligence - how we show up matters just as much as what we deliver.
