Our team brings together expertise in engineering, manufacturing, and flight operations to solve complex challenges and advance capabilities essential to national security.\nTo help achieve these efforts, Stratolaunch is seeking an Electrical, Avionics Drafter level I, II, or Sr to support design, integration, testing, and maintenance of one of our carrier or hypersonic vehicles electrical and avionics systems; as an Electrical, Avionics Drafter you will be responsible for the following:\nDevelop engineering documentation including Wiring Diagrams, and Harness drawings following industry drafting standards (ASME.Y14)\nDevelop and maintain system and sub-system drawing packages\nPlans, layouts, draws, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts referencing Stratolaunch and Aerospace Industry Standards (drawing note call outs)\nUnderstanding of how Electrical and Mechanical components interact in larger systems (details, sub-assemblies, main assemblies, Next Higher Assemblies)\nIncorporate redlines from the engineering design team and hanging redlines from completed manufacturing work\nUtilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, CAD, NX, CATIA, Mentor Graphics\nDevelop process improvement documentation to establish to define engineering drafting current practices\nAbility to understand a broad range of technical data, interact with different disciplines involved in the design, purchasing, manufacturing, integration, and testing of our vehicle(s).\nCandidates must have an aerospace development background and relevant experience in aerospace systems integration.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nCreate Engineering documentation to facilitate design efforts for Avionics subsystems\nReference 3D CAD models and integrate into 2D environments.\nSupport Avionics design effort, as required\nRegular and comprehensive communication to leadership\nContribute to the integration of complex aerospace systems\nTravel, as needed, to support the department\nDemonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments\n\nQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nRequired Qualifications:\nKnowledge of, and experience working with, one or more of these disciplines: electrical engineering, avionics, experimental aircraft and/or launch vehicle integration\nExperience with Aerospace production documentation (drawings and work orders)\nExperience with PDM systems, Engineering control and revision control release processes\nFamiliarity with common aerospace hardware such as connectors, relays, and wire types\nFacilitation skills and ability to communicate technical challenges and guidance to varied audiences to gain support or resolve concerns\nAbility to work on your own initiative and prioritize tasking to fit within the business goals\nComplex aerospace system development\nAbility to quickly adapt to changing priorities\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSecurity clearance\nExperience integrating launch vehicle or aircraft electrical power systems\nDirect hands-on experience with aircraft electrical system installation and best practices\nRequired Skills:\nSiemens Capital/Mentor Graphics\nFamiliar with concept and applications following Drafting Standards per ASME Y14\nFamiliarity with 3D CAD\nMS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)\nExperience as a CAD parts librarian (Preferred: Mentor Graphics)\n\nPreferred Skills:\n3D CAD modeling experience - NX, CATIA, or Solidworks\nFamiliarity with configuration management systems - Jira (preferred)\nFamiliar with concept and applications following GD&T per ASME Y14.5\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE\nLevel I ($33.65 - $37.87): Bachelor’s degree or higher from accredited institution and 2-4 years of engineering experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience\nLevel II ($38.46 - $43.20): Bachelor’s degree or higher from accredited institution and 4-6 years of engineering experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience\nLevel III ($43.27 - $61.30): Bachelor’s degree or higher from accredited institution and 6+ years of engineering experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nSpecial remarks regarding work environment, if applicable\nPosition on-site based in Mojave, CA\nTravel, as needed, to support the department.
