Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security.\nTo help achieve these efforts, Stratolaunch is seeking a level II, Sr-, or Staff-level Data Systems/Network Engineer to support integration, testing, and operations of flight related networking, computer and telemetry systems. The data system - network is critical to mission success and interfaces with multiple subsystems, therefore this position will include collaborating with other system owners to understand test requirements and operations support needs. You must be comfortable receiving direction and guidance from lead data systems engineers and taking ownership of your responsibilities.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nContribute to data & telemetry system architecture, testing, & operation for local and extended range missions\nSupport flight operations by ensuring data system assets are prepared for flight test\nDetermine data flow based on customer needs and system capability, advocate for upgraded systems when appropriate\nDevelop and maintain software tools as required\nDevelop and support telemetry, network, & data tests as required\nCollaborate with network engineers, data engineers, telemetry technicians as required to accomplish goals\nComplete ownership of corporate network including switches, firewalls, routers, WiFi, NAC, cloud networking products, etc.\nAct as an expert resource for our Engineering team to provide best practices for our Airplane and Vehicle networks\nBe available during tests and missions on headset as a point of escalation for networking issues\nRack, patch, and label devices\nMaintain updated network diagrams and documentation\nUtilize a Change Control platform to keep changes documented\nKeep all devices up to date, perform emergency updates if CVEs are released\nTroubleshoot and fix network related issues\nWork with engineering to provide support and expertise for key networks and systems\nAct as owner of various systems relating to our vehicles, control room, and simulator, and provide maintenance and upgrades as needed\nProvide high quality solutions to complex computer and network challenges\nDeploy and manage servers and workstations\nAdminister network switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, RF equipment, and VOIP\nProvide project planning, management, and implementation\nWork in configuration-controlled environments and abide by configuration-control policies\nEnsure systems are well documented and implemented with best practices\nTravel to launch and/or recovery sites to support mission operations\nQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.
