The selected candidate will operate in a collaborative engineering and peer review environment studying and analyzing complex space-domain problems to inform mission and acquisition decision-making.\nThis role supports mission-focused modeling, simulation, and technical analysis efforts delivering data-driven recommendations and technical insight to government stakeholders. and documentation of modeling, simulation, and technical analysis activities across space-domain systems.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nOrbital & Flight Dynamics Analysis\nPerform orbital mechanics modeling and simulation activities including orbit determination, orbital maneuver analysis, and spacecraft flight dynamics assessments.\n\nSupport mission trajectory analysis and performance trade studies.\n\nCommunications & Link Analysis\nPerform link budget, latency, and throughput analyses for RF, optical relay, and space-to-ground telecommunications systems.\n\nAssess performance of space-based communication architectures under varying operational conditions.\n\nPayload & Phenomenology Assessment\nConduct assessments of satellite payload sensor phenomenology (optical, radar, RF) and associated product quality.\n\nEvaluate system-level impacts of payload design decisions on mission performance.\n\nSystem Performance & Technical Analysis\nAssess end-to-end system designs against Required Performance Parameters (RPPs).\n\nIdentify and evaluate Technical Performance Measures (TPMs).\n\nSupport engineering trade studies and analytic investigations across space and ground architectures.\n\nDocumentation & Stakeholder Engagement\nDevelop MS&A supporting documentation including:\nTerms of reference\n\nStudy plans\n\nModeling assumptions\n\nData inputs/outputs\n\nAnalytic results and visualizations\n\nConclusions and recommendations\n\nPresent analytic findings to government and contractor stakeholders.\n\nAdvise leadership on forward-looking and follow-on studies to support long-term analytic roadmaps.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation & Clearance\nBachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field)\n\nActive TS/SCI with Polygraph\n\nTechnical & Functional Skills\n2+ years of relevant experience in modeling, simulation, or engineering analysis\n\nExperience using one or more of the following tools or technologies:\nC++\n\nPython\n\nR\n\nSQL / PostgreSQL\n\nLinux\n\nMATLAB\n\nVBA\n\nSystems Tool Kit (STK)\n\nExperience collecting, organizing, and analyzing technical data sets\n\nStrong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders\n\nDesired Skills / Qualifications\nExperience with free space optical and optical space-to-ground systems\n\nExperience integrating MS&A and MBSE data sets using SysML\n\nExperience developing or maintaining MBSE models\n\nExperience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or similar platforms\n\nExperience developing and maintaining MS&A tools or analytic software\n\nFamiliarity with space mission performance assessment within IC or DoD
