This position will focus on space protection, mission resilience, systems engineering, and integration of critical space capabilities.\nResponsibilities\nSupport Government systems engineering and space protection activities across the system lifecycle.\nAssess space mission architectures for threats, vulnerabilities, risks, resilience, survivability, and mission assurance.\nEvaluate protection considerations across spacecraft, ground systems, communications, command and control, and mission operations.\nSupport development and evaluation of space protection strategies, requirements, architectures, and courses of action.\nApply threat-informed systems engineering to identify vulnerabilities, mission impacts, and potential mitigation approaches.\nReview technical documentation and provide clear analysis and recommendations to Government leadership.\nRepresent Government interests in engineering reviews, working groups, and technical forums.\nCoordinate across Government, SETA, FFRDC, intelligence, operations, and contractor organizations to resolve technical and mission challenges.\nRequired Qualifications\nU.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.\nBachelor’s degree in STEM or relevant field with 3+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience.\nExperience with systems engineering processes, including requirements, integration, risk management, and configuration/change management.\nUnderstanding of space mission architectures and the interaction between space, ground, communications, and mission operations segments.\nAbility to assess complex technical and operational risks and develop actionable recommendations.\nStrong written/verbal communication, collaboration, and customer-facing skills.\nSelf-starter capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with space protection, space control, mission assurance, resilience, survivability, or space domain awareness.\nExperience with threat, vulnerability, mission risk, or resiliency assessments for space systems.\nKnowledge of satellite constellations, orbital operations, spacecraft and ground systems, communications, and command and control.\nUnderstanding of protection concepts including redundancy, disaggregation, proliferation, reconstitution, maneuver, and operational continuity.\nSpacecraft or ground systems operations experience, particularly in degraded or contested environments.\nFamiliarity with MBSE/Digital Engineering, Agile, cloud technologies, Jira, and
