This team of engineers will develop the entire drive unit mechanism for the power closure system.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsible for product design, engineering and development of assigned programs.\nLeads multi-disciplined design reviews on programs assigned.\nMaintains BOM on assigned products.\nCoordinates prototype builds on assigned programs, including development of prototype build control plan.\nWorks closely with manufacturing engineers and purchasing on component procurement.\nRepresents Strattec in weekly Program Development Team meetings with customer.\nUtilizes the Strattec Program Development Process (PDP) for program implementation.\nPeriodic travel required (~10%).\nQualifications\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMust be able to conceptualize, plan and develop small electro-mechanical devices and mechanisms.\nMust be able to perform strength of material and static force calculations.\nMust have experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).\nMust have experience in performing tolerance stacks.\nMust have experience dimensioning and applying tolerances to components and assemblies.\nMust have a working knowledge of GD&T principles.\nMust have experience with design for manufacturability/assembly (mechanisms, metal stampings, plastic injection molded parts, die cast parts, gears etc).\nMust have experience in working with CAE analysis team (FEA, ADAMS, Moldflow etc).\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :\nBSME is required (Mechanical Engineering).\n10+ years of experience in product development required.\nMechatronics, Mechanisms and/or Electro-mechanical system design experience is required.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nGood oral and written English language skills. \nKorean language is preferred.\nSpanish language is desirable.\nStrong technical writing skills are required.\nStrattec is an equal opportunity employer.
