We believe in a strong faculty-student relationship and building a community in the classroom. \nNOTE: Applications must include copies of unofficial transcripts to receive full consideration.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nTeach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.\nEnhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum through the use of technology and videos.\nUtilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience.\nBe available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.\nEstablish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.\nAdhere to University policies and procedures.\nAttend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.\nJob Skills:\nEffectively communicate with all levels of the University.\nDemonstrated knowledge of academic technology.\nDemonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.\nProficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.\nMust have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nAbility to manage potentially stressful situations in a professional and ethical manner.\nWork Experience:\nTeaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred.\n5 years professional experience in accounting preferred.\nPrefer teaching experience in CPA review courses.\nSome fraud prevention experience strongly preferred.\nEducation:\nDoctorate in Accounting required, OR\nDoctorate in Business-related discipline (accounting concentration or Master’s degree in accounting) required\nCertificates, licenses, and registrations:\nCPA license required (active or inactive)\nOther:\nNo travel.\nMust be able to lift 1 lb.\nMobility within the office includes movement from floor to floor.\nAccess information using a computer.\nEffectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.\nEffectively cope with stressful situations.\nStrong mental acuity.\nApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\n$2,300-$2,600 is the expected starting pay per online assignment for this position per quarter and $3,000 is the expected starting pay per on campus assignment for this position per quarter. If your location is near a campus, on campus teaching may be required.
