Additionally, Stream sources and develops low-risk land sites for optimum data center development and provides energy procurement services with a focus on reducing market risk and providing low-cost renewable energy options.\nWe are seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer/Program Manager to oversee and manage the design, development, and execution of innovative mechanical engineering projects. In this hybrid role, you will combine deep technical expertise in mechanical engineering with strong program management skills, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.\nYou will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders to deliver mechanical systems and solutions that align with organizational goals. Your ability to lead, communicate, and problem-solve will be key to the success of both the engineering and operational aspects of the program.\nThe role reports directly to the Director of Product and maintains proactive, frequent and open communication.\nMechanical Engineering Design & Development:\nLead the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems, components, and subsystems, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.\nDevelop detailed 3D models, CAD drawings, and prototypes for mechanical systems, including mechanisms, thermal systems, structural components, and assemblies.\nPerform engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and fluid flow analysis, to validate designs and ensure performance, safety, and reliability.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to ensure integration of mechanical components with other systems.\nConduct failure analysis and troubleshooting, providing corrective actions for any issues that arise during design, testing, or production.\nProgram Management:\nManage the entire lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects, from initial concept and design through prototyping, testing, and final production.\nDefine program scope, objectives, and deliverables, and establish clear schedules, budgets, and resource plans.\nTrack and report on project progress, proactively managing risks and changes to ensure timely and successful delivery.\nCoordinate efforts across internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment and smooth execution across multiple departments and stakeholders.\nDevelop and maintain detailed project documentation, including engineering specifications, project plans, and progress reports.\nLeadership & Collaboration:\nLead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, designers, and technicians, providing technical direction and fostering a collaborative environment.\nServe as the main point of contact between the mechanical engineering team and other departments (e.g., operations, product management, quality assurance).\nCollaborate with customers and stakeholders to define technical requirements, identify potential challenges, and ensure alignment with project goals.\nLead design reviews, ensuring designs are aligned with project requirements and standards, and drive improvements based on feedback.\nQuality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:\nDevelop and implement testing protocols to ensure mechanical systems meet quality, performance, and regulatory standards.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of mechanical design, development, and testing.\nEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, ASTM) and safety regulations throughout the design and manufacturing phases.\nContribute to the development of best practices for mechanical engineering and project management within the organization.\nRequirements\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.\nMinimum 7-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and program management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.\nProven experience in designing, developing, and managing mechanical systems or products across multiple stages (concept, design, testing, production).\nStrong background in mechanical design, CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and engineering analysis.\nExcellent program management skills, including the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and risks effectively.\nStrong leadership and team management experience, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams.\nExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and find innovative solutions.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.\nFamiliarity with manufacturing processes, including prototyping, CNC machining, injection molding, and assembly.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProfessional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, or similar).\nExperience in specific industries such as automotive, aerospace, consumer products, or industrial machinery.\nFamiliarity with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) for
