The Manager will oversee the platform engineering teams responsible for our Curriculum Experience where our full-time students in K to 12 go to school every day.Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.\nPartners with technical product management and other key business stakeholders to lead the technology direction, facilitate key technical decision points, and deliver products.\nInterfaces with other engineering groups and enterprise architecture; collaborate on integration projects, best practices, and the introduction of new technologies.\nCommits to roadmaps with capabilities and timelines, with a proven track record for new product and technology evaluation and introduction\nAligns technology to business strategy, and proactively drives a technical direction throughout the organization\nAdopts a Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) methodology and institutes a frequent release cadence.\nManages multiple team(s) consisting of Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and DevOps. Oversees both fulltime and contract resources.\nLeads and mentors engineering team members\nHave an innovation mindset to product development, engineering, and development processes and provide thought leadership and information dissemination in this area.\nSupervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 5 or more Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field AND\nThree (3) years’ proven experience in software engineering leadership roles AND\nStrong engineering delivery and execution track record, with proven experience around the complete lifecycle of product development OR\nAn equivalent combination of education and experience\nCertificates and Licenses: None Required\nOTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nAbility to attract talent, inspire the organization, and develop the next generation of leaders\nAbility to build trusting, meaningful relationships with peers, stakeholders, and partners.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including influencing technical decisions and direction, conflict management, negotiation, and presentations\nFull commitment to customer satisfaction\nIdentify and drive innovation in products, technologies, processes, and solutions\nHas high standards, results-oriented, pro-active and a commitment to delivering high-quality software on time and in budget\nLeadership skills to include coaching/mentoring, critical thinking, facilitation, change leadership, and team development\nSoftware development and overall automation including Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, build and test automation, orchestration/fulfillment, assurance, performance\nRelevant experience in large-scale application architecture/design, middleware architecture, integration architecture, application deployment methods, automation, testing, compliance, auditing\nService-oriented and microservice architecture for highly available cloud-hosted applications and services in AWS\nUnderstanding of UI/UX principlesand best practices\nAbility and desire to thrive in a proactive, high-pressure environment\nAbility to clearly write technical specifications and strong estimating and planning skills\nExperience with object-orienteddesign and design patterns\nSolid understanding of source control and using it effectively\nExperience working with offshore and distributed teams\nAbility to pass a required background check\nMicrosoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.\nAbility to travel 10% of the time\nAbility to clear required background check\nCompensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.\nWe anticipate the salary range to be $93,328.50- $150,000.00. An individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors which include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus.
