The team records business transactions accurately and on time in the balance sheet and income statement, and partners with cross-functional and international teams in a fast-paced environment.\nWhat you'll do\nYou'll join the Product Accounting team to support payment processing cost accounting. You'll use your technical expertise in US GAAP, including ASC 606, to identify accounting implications, advise cross-functional partners, and develop operating processes that help Stripe scale.\nResponsibilities\nBuild scalable accounting processes to support global growth in payment processing cost accounting\nPartner with product, go-to-market, and Finance teams to understand new products, features, and contracts\nPartner with systems and engineering teams to improve financial systems and automate accounting processes\nAssess the effectiveness of internal controls and design processes and controls for emerging business activities\nDevelop and maintain current accounting procedure documentation\nPlan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, financial reporting deliverables, and reviews\nProduce management analyses and reporting, and support external audit processes\nWho you are\nWe're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role.
