That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.\nWhat you’ll do\nResponsibilities\nDesign, build, productionize, and maintain APls, services, and systems across Stripe's engineering teams using Ruby, React, Typescript, and other programming languages.\nPredict and measure the performance and outcomes of designed systems.\nCollaborate with engineers and other cross-functional roles across the company to build new billing features at large-scale to make it easier for businesses to collect and manage their payments.\nAnalyze user needs, feedback, and product requirements to determine technical specifications and the feasibility of design and implementation, taking cost and time constraints into account.\nImplement technical designs through a series of programming tasks while upholding high engineering standards.\nImplement unit, functional, and integration tests to prevent bugs and regressions.\nImprove engineering standards, tooling, and processes ensuring operational excellence and contribute to team's on-call rotation.\nDebug and identify the root cause of errors in a complex system across multiple service components.\nProvide mentorship and help onboard and spin up new hires for the team.\nWho you are\nMinimum requirements\nMust have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Human-computer interaction or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in Software Engineering.\nMust also have 2 years of experience in each of the following:\nWorking with Ruby, React, Typescript, Java and Golang;\nUsing SQL to perform data analysis;\nWorking with API development to provide emergency response, and debugging production issues across services;\nPerforming latency analysis;\nDesigning architecture and system design proposals;\nWriting user-facing documentation and technical integration guides; and\nTranslating business needs into software requirements and designs, and implementing industry standard design patterns.\nSalary: $156,800.00 - $235,200.00/yr.\nThis salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.\n40 hrs/week\n50% Telecommuting permitted.\nMultiple Positions Available. \nAdditional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
