As a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician at Strive Pharmacy, you'll be at the core of preparing and compounding custom prescriptions, both hazardous and non-hazardous, upholding the highest standards of quality control and compliance with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nKey Responsibilities:\nCompounding: Follow proprietary formulations to compound sterile injectables, ophthalmics, oral liquids, topical agents, and tablets.\nQuality Control: Perform continuous QA on compounds, prepare samples for testing, and initiate investigations for any deviations from standard procedure.\nCollaboration: Work closely with the Pharmacist in Charge, facility Pharmacists, and internal Quality Assurance personnel to ensure product integrity.\nDocumentation: Maintain calibration logs for scales and electronic meters; document all quality procedures in appropriate logs.\nLab Maintenance: Ensure the compounding lab is cleaned/maintained per procedures and dispose of chemicals in proper containers.\nInventory: Monitor inventory levels, report low stock to supervisors, and routinely check for outdated or expiring chemicals.\n Compliance: Participate in regular audits/inspections and complete required continuous education (CE) responsibilities.\nRequired Qualifications\nActive Texas State License in good standing\nAt least one year of sterile compounding experience \nCompleted 40-hour ACPE-accredited sterile compounding course\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\nPreferred Qualifications\nActive National Certification (PTCB/ExCPT) Certification \nPrevious 503(A) experience\nRequired Skills\nTechnical Knowledge: Knowledge of USP 795, USP 800, USP 795, and cGMP FDA 503B Guidelines\nPharmacy Math: Strong grasp of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations.\nOperational Excellence: Ability to work efficiently in a timely manner with extreme attention to detail.\nQuality Standards: Proven ability to consistently meet standards for accuracy and potency.\nEquipment Mastery: Capability of working with small, delicate, and expensive laboratory equipment.\nWork Environment \nThis position is primarily based in an onsite work environment. The role requires regular periods of sitting, standing, and computer use, with occasional lifting as needed.
