product managers, and other technical teams.\nKey Responsibilities\n* Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Node.js.\n* Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and backend integrations.\n* Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.\n* Design and optimize database structures, queries, and data models.\n* Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, authentication services, and other external systems.\n* Implement secure authentication, authorization, data protection, and other backend security practices.\n* Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues.\n* Write unit, integration, and API tests to ensure system reliability.\n* Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to other engineers.\n* Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver product features.\n* Contribute to system architecture, technical decisions, and engineering best practices.\n* Monitor backend services, troubleshoot production issues, and implement long-term solutions.\n* Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.\n* Contribute to technical documentation and ensure engineering standards are consistently maintained.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\n* 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant backend development experience.\n* Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.\n* Strong experience building and maintaining REST APIs and backend services.\n* Solid knowledge of Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks.\n* Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.\n* Experience with API authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth, and role-based access control.\n* Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.\n* Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.\n* Experience writing automated tests and maintaining code quality.\n* Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.\n* Strong understanding of application security, performance optimization, and scalability.\n* Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.\nNice to Have\n* Experience working in Fintech, Payments, Banking, or other highly regulated environments.\n* Experience integrating payment processors, banking APIs, or financial services.\n* Experience with event-driven architecture, message queues, or microservices.\n* Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems.\n* Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud
