As our Senior Project Buyer, you'll work at the heart of our international projects, partnering with Category Management, Engineering, Sales, Tendering and Project Management to contract the right suppliers, negotiate the best commercial agreements, and ensure our projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.\nIn this role, you'll take ownership of the entire procurement lifecycle-from sourcing strategy and supplier selection to contract management and performance monitoring. By combining technical insight, commercial acumen, and strong stakeholder management, you'll help create maximum value for our business while building long-term supplier partnerships.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead the procurement of technical materials, services, and subcontracted work for complex international projects;\nDevelop sourcing strategies, select suppliers, negotiate commercial agreements, and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle;\nPartner closely with Category Management, Sales, Tendering, Engineering and Project Management to align procurement activities with customer requirements, milestone planning and project objectives;\nMonitor supplier performance, delivery reliability (OTIF), quality, and commercial commitments, taking proactive action where required;\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers while continuously monitoring market developments and identifying new opportunities;\nDrive continuous improvement of procurement processes, develop maturity of procurement and commercial value to maximize business impact and ensure project continuity;\nLead the procurement of technical materials, services, and subcontracted work for complex international projects.\nWhat you bring:\nA bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field;\nNEVI 2, Higher Professional Education (minor) in Procurement Management, or an equivalent procurement qualification;\n5-10 years of experience as a Senior Project Buyer, Contract Manager or Senior Buyer within a complex technical or project-driven environment;\nProven experience with strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and procurement within EPC, offshore, manufacturing, or engineering industries;\nKnowledge of subsea, offshore, chemical processing, metalworking, or similar technical industries is highly preferred;\nStrong commercial awareness combined with excellent analytical and negotiation skills;\nThe ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization while confidently challenging stakeholders when needed;\nExcellent communication skills and fluency in Dutch and English; additional languages are an advantage.\nWhy join us?\nSalary between €5000,- and €7000,- based on experience and qualifications;\n32 days of paid leave per year;\nBe part of an innovative, fast-paced company with global impact;\nStrohm’s Pension plan;\nDiscounted gym membership;\nBike lease plan through the company;\nCommuting allowance or NS Business Card;\nCompany-provided phone;\nHybrid working model (office and home-based).\nContact details\nWant to know more before you apply?
