Jocelyn Pension Consulting specializes in helping growing small businesses establish and administer 401(k) retirement plans, providing personalized service and expertise to support clients and their employees.\nPosition Summary\nJocelyn Pension Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Operations Associate to join our Participant Services team. This role supports the day-to-day administration of 401(k) retirement plans, with a focus on participant transactions, client service, and operational processes.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable with technology, and enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in retirement plan administration while contributing to a growing organization.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview and process participant loan and distribution requests, including hardship withdrawals, rollovers, terminations, and required minimum distributions (RMDs), in accordance with plan provisions and applicable regulations.\n\nVerify participant eligibility for loans and distributions based on plan documents and participant status.\n\nEnsure accurate calculation of loan repayment schedules and applicable tax withholdings.\n\nPrepare daily cash reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.\n\nRespond to inquiries from plan sponsors and participants regarding loans, distributions, and general 401(k) plan operations.\n\nMonitor incoming emails and phone calls, providing timely and professional support to plan sponsors and participants.\n\nCommunicate plan rules, procedures, documentation requirements, and processing timelines clearly and effectively.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve operational workflows, efficiency, and overall service delivery.\n\nResearch and resolve participant and plan-related issues while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service.\n\nCollaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive client experience.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.\n\nStrong mathematical, analytical, and/or accounting skills.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.\n\nStrong initiative, integrity, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.\n\nComfortable learning new technologies and adapting to evolving processes.\n\nAbility to communicate professionally with plan sponsors, participants, and other stakeholders.\n\nExperience working with busy professionals and managing time-sensitive requests.\n\nPrevious experience in retirement plan administration, particularly 401(k) plans, preferred but not required.\n\nExperience with Sungard Relius and/or Schwab RT preferred.\n\nSpanish-language proficiency is a plus but not required.\n\nCompensation\nThe anticipated base salary range for this position is $50,000-$60,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.\nOur Value-Driven Employee Experience:\nFlexible Workplace -
