< key activities / role and responsibilities>

・Perform system safety analysis and design activities.

・Understand system design and Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and collaborate with subsystem engineers to develop comprehensive system safety designs.

・Define and maintain project system safety requirements and On-Orbit Safety requirements, and ensure compliance throughout the system lifecycle.

・Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety analyses for the overall system, including spacecraft, ground systems, and operations.

・Lead safety assessments using methodologies such as FMEA/FMECA, FTA, Hazard Analysis, and STAMP/STPA.

・Provide recommendations from a safety perspective during system design trade-off studies and operational concept evaluations.

・Support safety design activities for On-Orbit Servicing missions, including Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO).

・Support the design and verification of FDIR (Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery) functions and the development of fail-safe strategies.

・Assess on-orbit collision risks, space debris generation risks, and potential impacts on third-party spacecraft, and develop mitigation measures.

・Drive compliance activities with safety and debris-related standards such as JERG-2-026, JMR-003, and ISO 24113.

・Develop safety verification plans and validate safety requirements through testing, analysis, and simulation activities.

・Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including Safety Program Plans, Safety Data Packages, and Hazard Reports.

・ Provide expert guidance and consultation on safety engineering to program, mission, and operations teams.

Experience

・ Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in systems design and/or systems analysis.

・ Experience participating in multiple phases of the system development lifecycle, from requirements definition through verification, in the development of complex systems.

Technical Skills

・ Fundamental knowledge of Systems Engineering.

・ Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management.

・ Ability to develop technical documentation.

・ Ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Soft Skills

Space Domain

・ 5+ years of experience in satellite system development and/or operations.

・ Experience with Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) and/or On-Orbit Servicing (OOS) missions.

・ Basic knowledge of orbital mechanics and Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC).

・ Experience with space debris mitigation and conjunction/collision avoidance operations.

Safety Engineering

・ 3+ years of professional experience in system safety design and/or system safety analysis.

・ Experience in one or more of the following safety analysis methodologies:

FMEA/FMECA

Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)

Hazard Analysis

Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS)

Functional Safety

・ Experience developing Safety Cases (e.g., Safety Data Packages (SDP), Hazard Reports, Compliance Matrices, Safety Assessment Reports, etc.).

・ Experience performing analyses using STAMP/STPA methodologies.

・ Experience applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to safety analysis activities.

・ Experience in safety requirements management and development of compliance matrices.

・ Experience preparing safety documentation for regulatory authorities.

Other

・ Experience participating in safety reviews (e.g., PDR, CDR, QR, FRR).

・ Experience in technical coordination and negotiations with customers and regulatory authorities.

<職務内容 活動/役割・責任>

・システム安全解析・設計活動を行う

・システム設計および運用概念 (CONOPS) を理解し、サブシステム・エンジニアと協力して包括的なシステム安全設計を開発する

・プロジェクトのシステム安全要求およびOn-Orbit Safety要求を定義・維持し、ライフサイクル全体を通じて適合性を確認する

・宇宙機、地上システム、運用を含むシステム全体のハザード識別、リスク評価および安全解析を実施する

・FMEA/FMECA、FTA、Hazard Analysis、STAMP/STPA等の手法を用いた安全評価を主導する

・システム設計トレードオフおよび運用コンセプトの評価において、安全性の観点からの提言を行う

・ランデブ・近傍運用（RPO）等の軌道上サービスに対する安全設計を支援する

・ FDIR（Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery）設計・検証およびフェールセーフ戦略の策定を支援する

・軌道上衝突リスク、スペースデブリ発生リスク、および第三者宇宙機への影響を評価し、その低減策を立案する

・JERG-2-026、JMR-003、ISO24113等の安全・デブリ関連規格への適合活動を推進する

・安全要求の検証計画を策定し、試験・解析・シミュレーションを通じて安全性の妥当性を確認する

・ Safety Program Plan、Safety Data Package、Hazard Report等の安全文書を作成・維持する

・安全工学の専門家として、プログラム/ミッション/運用チームへ助言を提供する

<必須条件>

経験

・システム設計またはシステム解析に関する3年以上の実務経験

・複雑なシステム開発において、要求定義から検証までのライフサイクルのいずれか複数のフェーズに携わった経験

技術スキル

・システムエンジニアリングの基礎知識

・リスクアセスメントおよびリスクマネジメントの知識

・技術文書作成能力

・多分野チームとの技術調整能力

安全分野

・システム安全設計またはシステム安全解析の実務経験(3年以上)
