Objective\n To strategically drive the Technical engineering business in line with overall company objective and oversee daily operations in the technical aspect of the business.\n Key Responsibilities\n In depth understanding of AC and DC power systems Rectifiers, Inverters, UPS, AVR, ATS, panels,\n Knowledge of alternative/renewable energy technologies Solar, Wind, Hydro, Geothermal.\n Apply significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve technical service to clients.\n Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet client requirement more efficiently.\n Manage multiple technical teams within budget and project schedule.\n Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements.\n Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery.\n Mentor, manage and motivate field engineers/subordinates.\n Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back-up as required.\n Liaise with management, Sales and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.\n Consistently deliver high-quality services to our clients.\n Identify and understand future business needs, prepare, and implement technical strategies to meet those needs.\n Coordinate and direct all technical projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.\n Analyze technical needs, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.\n Prepare monthly progress and executive summary reports on projects within purview.\n Good knowledge of other power systems like Diesel Generators, Transformers etc.\n Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.\n Ensure that the strategies adopted for every project are the most cost effective while ensuring that engineering service standards are still upheld.\n Direct, review and approve product design and changes.\n Oversight responsibility for the end-to-end life cycle of all projects and activities within the technical department.\n Assign, direct and evaluate direct reports’ work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.\n Stay abreast with the latest technologies and recommend solutions to novel customer requests in the interest of the organization.\n Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the technical department.\n Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.\n Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.\n Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.\n Set technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.\n Tracking projects that are subcontracted to third parties, ensuring they meet company standards.\n General Responsibilities:\n Evaluate KPIs and performance for the Technical team.\n Formulate career development plans within the department.\n Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for general business growth.\n Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of Technical department use of electrical equipment’s, batteries and general risk management.\n Requirements\n Bachelor’s in electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.\n Previous/current supervisory/managerial role recommended.\n 7-10 years’ experience in either banking or/and Telecommunications industry.\n In depth understanding of AC and DC power systems Rectifiers, Inverters, UPS, AVR, ATS, panels, Diesel Generators, Transformers.\n Knowledge of alternative/renewable energy technologies Solar, Wind, Hydro, Geothermal.\n Strong managerial, communication and presentation skills.\n Expertise with CRM systems and practices.\n Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.\n HSE knowledge and certification is an added advantage.\n Certification in alternative power solutions and/or electrical engineering is desirable.\n Experience:\n Electrical and electronic engineering: 7 years Required\n Solar design and installations: 7 years Required\n Leadership and stakeholder manager: 5
