You will ensure the safe, compliant and cost-effective flow of materials while developing a high-performing team and supporting the site’s operational and financial objectives. Working cross-functionally, you will improve service, capacity and processes to support business growth and customer needs.\nWhat you will do\nLead, coach and develop a high-performing materials and logistics team, setting clear expectations, managing performance, providing regular feedback and ensuring appropriate resourcing to meet business needs.\nLead the day-to-day management of inbound and outbound materials, warehousing, logistics providers and operational resources, ensuring products are delivered safely, on time and cost-effectively.\nEnsure materials and logistics operations comply with applicable quality, regulatory, financial, trade compliance, health and safety requirements.\nManage third-party logistics providers, maintain service-level agreements and optimize external partnerships to improve service, capacity and cost performance.\nDrive operational excellence using lean principles, including daily management, standard work, structured problem-solving and continuous improvement.\nManage materials-related budgets, headcount, expenditure and capital requirements, taking corrective action where performance does not meet agreed targets.\nCollaborate cross-functionally to support new product introductions, business integrations, capacity planning, waste reduction and improved customer service.\nLead the implementation and optimization of warehouse procedures, systems, technologies and processes to support compliant operations and future business growth.\nWhat you will need\nRequired qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Production Management, Engineering or a relevant discipline.\nMinimum of 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing, distribution or logistics environment.\nMinimum of 4 years’ experience in a supervisory or people management role, including responsibility for leading, coaching and developing teams.\nExperience in logistics operations, warehouse management systems, capacity planning and process optimization.\nAbility to coach, provide effective feedback and manage performance.\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience working in the medical device industry within an ISO 13485 environment.\nExperience managing operational budgets, expenditure or business-unit financial performance.\nExperience applying Lean methodologies within an operational environment.\nDecision Making/Judgement - Selects effective approaches to solving issues, based on available information and business objectives and escalates appropriately.\nStrong presentation, communication, influencing and facilitation skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.\nUnited Kingdom Pay Ranges:\n United Kingdom: £42,600 - £70,900 GBP Annual\nAt Stryker, we believe transparency helps candidates make confident decisions about their next career step.
