You will partner across R&D and with clinical stakeholders to evaluate new technologies, translate user feedback into design requirements, and support the development and testing of complex product concepts.\nThis is a hybrid role based in Weston, Fl, requiring you to be on-site 2-3 days per week, so candidates must live within a commutable distance.\nWhat you will do\nRepresent R&D on cross-functional programs, translating internal customer objectives and user needs into clear design recommendations and technical direction.\nPlan, conduct, and analyze human factors and usability evaluations, using qualitative and quantitative data to identify usability issues and inform design decisions.\nPlan and execute testing to evaluate function, form, ergonomics, aesthetics, and usability.\nPartner with surgeons and clinical stakeholders in simulated and user environments to conduct interviews, observe product interactions, document feedback, and incorporate findings into product designs.\nConduct cadaveric evaluations, including gathering stakeholder feedback and documenting findings and reports.\nInvestigate novel technical and usability problems and design solutions that address identified user, product, and system needs.\nIntegrate, administer, and validate development tools while applying applicable engineering processes, standards, methods, and design practices.\nCoordinate with cross-functional project teams to establish schedules, manage multiple priorities, communicate project status and risks, and train or mentor team members on established engineering practices, processes, and tools.\nWhat you will need\nRequired qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Human Factors Engineering, Usability, Human-Computer Interaction, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another engineering discipline.\nMinimum 4 years of experience supporting Human Factors Engineering or another related engineering discipline.\nExperience planning or conducting usability evaluations and analyzing qualitative and quantitative usability test data.\nExperience observing users in simulated environments and translating user interactions and observations into design inputs or recommendations.\nPreferred qualifications\nHuman Factors Engineering experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, military, or aerospace.\nExperience working directly with clinical stakeholders or end users to evaluate product usability.\nExperience developing or evaluating product designs related to function, form, ergonomics, aesthetics, or usability.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.\n$89,300 - $148,800 USD Annual\nTravel Percentage: 20%Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
