This role manages a mid size team or teams within one site with a focus on tactical execution to prescribed high level strategy but requires a more experienced proven leader who can also develop strategy to meet service, personnel, cost targets set forth.\nThe main objectives are to provide clear leadership and strategic direction to the local team, create a reputation of excellence and ensure a “Best in Class” organization is created and maintained through implementing solutions to further develop, drive and improve customer satisfaction / experience, manage and reduce costs, enhance and develop processes, and support the creation and optimization of an end-to-end supply chain.\nThis role will promote teamwork and collaboration, quality performance standards, professionalism and integrity to ensure that results are delivered in accordance with the strategic plans, objectives and customers’ contractual agreements.\nKey Activities & Responsibilities:\nOperations & Leadership:\nOversee warehouse, kitting, and distribution operations, ensuring alignment with customer needs\nand service levels.\nDrive strategic planning, process improvements, and compliance with industry regulations. Ensure\nadherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards, incl. ISO 9001 and 14001.\nManage the logistics budget, optimizing cost efficiencies while maintaining service excellence.\nEnsure effective resource allocation and provide detailed cost justifications for key investments and initiatives.\n\nContinuous Improvement & Compliance:\nFoster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.\nIdentify and implement best practices to enhance logistics performance.\nSupport sustainability initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint.\n\nTeam Development & Performance:\nBuild and develop a high-performing warehouse and kitting team.\nEnsure all activities related to employee engagement, talent reviews and periodic employee reviews are conducted across area of responsibility.\nProvide coaching and development opportunities for team members.\nResults & Customer Focus:\nEnsure accurate, efficient, and cost-effective handling, storage, and distribution of goods. \nMaintain KPIs for safety, quality, service, and operational performance. \nMonitor potential disruptions and implement proactive solutions. \nFoster a customer-first approach in logistics operations by developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nRequirements:\nEducation\nDesired:\nBachelors or master university degree (preferably in Engineering or Logistics).\nExperience\nEssential:\nProven experience in warehouse and kit operation\nMinimum 3 years of experience as people manager.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience applying Lean methodologies in an operational environment.\nCompetencies & Behaviors\nAbility to demonstrate advanced competencies in strategic decision-making, operational oversight, and team development. \nWill be expected to articulate clear expectations and inspire team members to achieve challenging objectives, all while exhibiting unwavering integrity, resilience, and a commitment to continuous improvement. \nShould reflect a strong sense of accountability and a collaborative approach, fostering an environment in which innovative ideas are both generated and implemented, and where shared success is paramount. \nThis balanced focus on technical proficiency and interpersonal excellence is essential for driving organizational performance and sustainable growth.\nCompetencies\nCustomer oriented - strong customer focus\nStakeholder Management\nStrategic decision-making skills\nProficiency in operational oversight\nExpertise in team development\nCapability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve challenging objectives\nRelationship builder/collaborator\nIntegrity - being honest and ethical.
