focused on architecture, systems strategy, and technical excellence.\nWhat You Will Do\nPeople and Organizational Leadership\nLead, coach, develop, and engage a multidisciplinary engineering organization supporting complex robotic platform development.\nEstablish clear performance expectations, provide actionable feedback, and support career and professional development.\nLead a blended organization of full-time employees and contractors, including workload planning, onboarding, integration, and day-to-day coordination.\nSupport staffing and organizational planning as program and business needs evolve.\nBuild a collaborative, accountable team culture focused on execution, quality, and continuous improvement.\nEngineering and Program Execution\nDrive execution across complex hardware and systems development activities, ensuring teams have the resources, priorities, and support needed to deliver program commitments.\nPartner with project and program management to translate program objectives into engineering plans, schedules, staffing needs, and deliverables.\nIdentify execution risks, resource constraints, and cross-functional dependencies and drive timely resolution.\nBalance priorities across multiple development efforts while maintaining focus on quality, schedule, and business objectives.\nSupport resource planning, contractor strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and project-level financial accountability.\nProvide engineering leadership and technical judgment while partnering with senior technical leaders responsible for architecture and technical strategy.\nCross-Functional and Compliance Leadership\nPartner with Electrical, Systems, Software, Mechanical, Product Safety, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and other functions throughout the product development lifecycle.\nEnsure engineering activities are executed in accordance with applicable design controls, risk management processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.\nReview and approve, or appropriately delegate, technical documentation and program deliverables within assigned areas.\nSupport continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and operating practices.\nSupport a distributed engineering organization and travel periodically to other Stryker development sites as business needs require.\nWhat You Will Need\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering or an applicable technical field.\n8+ years of applicable engineering experience.\n2+ years of direct people management experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nElectrical Engineering background or significant experience leading electrical hardware development teams.\nExperience leading complex engineering projects, programs, or technical organizations.\nDemonstrated ability to influence across engineering disciplines and drive execution in a cross-functional environment.\nExperience leading a blended organization of full-time employees and engineering contractors.\nExperience managing engineering teams through complex product redesign, modernization, or late-stage product development programs.\nMedical device experience or experience in another highly regulated or safety-critical product development environment.\nExperience with design controls, risk management, verification, and regulated product development.\nExperience managing staffing, schedules, resources, budgets, and competing program priorities.\nExperience leading geographically distributed engineering
