As Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will lead engineering teams responsible for sustaining, improving, and scaling manufacturing processes while ensuring quality, compliance, efficiency, and operational excellence across the value stream. This role plays a critical part in supporting product supply, new product introductions, process innovation, and continuous improvement in a regulated medical technology environment.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead and develop Manufacturing Engineering teams, including workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, mentoring, and capability development.\nDrive manufacturing performance across quality, yield, cycle time, capacity, labor efficiency, customer service, and cost metrics, implementing corrective actions when required.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving and operational excellence methodologies to improve manufacturing processes and business performance.\nPartner with Operations, Quality, Research & Development, Process Development, Supply Chain, Environmental Health & Safety, suppliers, and external partners to achieve business objectives.\nSupport the successful transfer, introduction, and scale-up of new products and processes into manufacturing, ensuring compliance, operational readiness, and on-time delivery.\nOversee capital equipment strategy, technology selection, automation initiatives, and capital investment projects while balancing performance and return on investment.\nManage departmental budgets and capital expenditure, ensuring effective resource utilization and delivery of agreed objectives.\nLead process and equipment validation activities and ensure compliance with site quality systems and applicable regulatory requirements.\nWhat You Will Need\nRequired Qualifications\nDegree or Master's degree in Engineering or Science (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production, or related discipline).\nMinimum 8 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.\nMinimum 2+ years of experience in a senior engineering leadership or management role.\nKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA regulatory requirements, and current health and safety regulations.\nDemonstrated experience delivering improvements in manufacturing performance, including yield, scrap, cycle time, quality, capacity, and cost.\nExperience managing process and equipment validation activities within a regulated environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nLean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience.\nExperience with manufacturing automation, process technology implementation, and capital equipment deployment.\nAdditional Information\nThis role supports a manufacturing operation operating within regulated medical technology requirements, including applicable quality system and regulatory standards.\nOccasional travel to other company sites may be required.\nOut-of-hours support may be required for shutdowns, projects, quality events, or equipment-related issues.\nRole Type: Permanent.\nLocation: Model Farm Road, Cork, Ireland.\nTravel: Occasional travel to other company sites may be required.\nBenefits: Eligible employees may participate in company benefit programs, including annual corporate bonus, pension, healthcare, life assurance, maternity benefits, paternity benefits, and other benefits in accordance with local policies and eligibility requirements.\nStryker Ireland Manufacturing\n#IJ\nIreland Pay Ranges:\n Ireland: €76,000 - €126,000 EUR Annual\nAt Stryker, we believe transparency helps candidates make confident decisions about their next career step.
