In this senior engineering role, you will turn complex operational challenges into scalable solutions, combining process engineering, automation, analytics and technology to improve service, productivity, cost and sustainability.\nWhat you will do\nLead complex, end-to-end process improvement and operational excellence programmes across Stryker’s European logistics and distribution network, applying Lean, Six Sigma and industrial engineering methodologies.\nDesign future-state operating models, facility concepts, process architectures and engineering standards that improve flow, productivity, resource utilisation, service and scalability.\nEvaluate and implement warehouse automation, robotics, material handling systems, RFID, Internet of Things technologies and advanced visibility solutions, partnering with Operations, Digital and IT teams.\nApply advanced analytics, simulation modelling, digital twins, artificial intelligence and real-time monitoring to improve inventory, transportation, capacity planning and operational decision-making.\nDevelop operational key performance indicators, dashboards and governance frameworks that proactively identify risks, constraints and improvement opportunities across service, cost, inventory and network performance.\nBuild technical and financial business cases for strategic logistics investments, evaluating options across cost, service, carbon impact, scalability and risk.\nLead cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation, partnering with Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Digital and external partners to deliver measurable and sustainable outcomes.\nProvide technical leadership in logistics engineering and operational excellence, mentoring engineers and business leaders and communicating complex recommendations to stakeholders across organisational levels.\nWhat you will need\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Life Sciences or a related discipline.\nMinimum 10 years of experience in engineering, supply chain, logistics, operations or a related discipline.\nMinimum 5 years of experience within complex manufacturing, distribution, logistics or supply chain environments.\nExperience leading large-scale operational excellence, process engineering or transformation initiatives.\nExperience leading automation, digitalisation, systems implementation or advanced analytics initiatives.\nExperience working within regulated environments governed by standards such as FDA, ISO or equivalent.\nFormal training and practical experience in Lean, Operational Excellence, Six Sigma or an equivalent continuous improvement methodology.\nFluency in English.\nPreferred\nPostgraduate qualification in Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management or a related discipline.\nAPICS, ASCM, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent professional certification.\nExperience within the medical device, healthcare or another highly regulated industry.\nExperience with enterprise resource planning systems such as Oracle or SAP.\nFluency in an additional European language.\nNetherlands Pay Ranges:\nNetherlands: €68.400 - €127.000 EUR Annual\nUnited Kingdom Pay Ranges:\n United Kingdom: £49,300 - £82,100 GBP Annual\nAt Stryker, we believe transparency helps candidates make confident decisions about their next career step.
