This is your opportunity to lead innovation, mentor talent, and solve complex challenges that matter.\nThis role is in Irvine, California.\nTo learn more about our Peripheral Vascular portfolio, please click here: Peripheral Vascular | Stryker.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead the design, development, and evaluation of complex electro-mechanical systems, subsystems, and platform-level architectures for medical devices.\nGuide decisions across electrical, mechanical, and integrated system designs while balancing performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.\nLead advanced prototyping, testing, verification, and resolution of complex technical challenges using data-driven analysis.\nApply advanced engineering principles to solve multidisciplinary problems spanning mechanical, electrical, and system-level domains.\nPartner with clinical stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate voice-of-customer insights into innovative product solution.\nDrive innovation through invention disclosures, patent development, and the evaluation and integration of emerging technologies.\nServe as a technical leader and mentor, influencing electrical engineering design initiative across the organization in technical excellence, compliance, and best practices.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Manufacturing, and Marketing teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization.\nAct as an independent reviewer of engineering documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and quality requirements.\nLead initiatives that improve electrical engineering processes, tools, product performance, and organizational capability.\nWhat You Will Need\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\nMinimum eight years of relevant engineering experience in product development.\nProven experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex electrical/electro-mechanical systems.\nDemonstrated expertise in electrical engineering, with the ability to effectively lead across both disciplines.\nExperience translating user needs into technical requirements, system architectures, and product specifications.\nStrong understanding of system integration, verification, validation, and engineering problem-solving methodologies.\nExperience mentoring engineers and influencing cross-functional technical teams.\nProficiency with engineering design, analysis, modeling, and testing tools relevant to the candidate's area of expertise.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in medical device development or other highly regulated industries.\nExperience with the design and development of catheter-based medical devices, including the integration of electrical, sensing, or electromechanical technologies.\nAdvanced knowledge of system integration across electrical and software domains.\nExperience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), reliability engineering, and systems engineering principles.\nKnowledge of electrical system design, circuit development, testing methods, or controls engineering.\nKnowledge of mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes, CAD modeling, GD&T, and CAE tools.\nStrong understanding of regulatory requirements, engineering documentation, and quality system compliance.
