The Research and Development Engineering Development Program offers:\nDirect engagement with Senior Leadership\nExposure to cutting-edge R&D technologies\nExecutive mentorship\nGlobal collaboration and cross-functional training\nAll of which lead to inspiring careers, lasting professional relationships, and fast-tracked career progression.\nKEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: What you will do:\nTechnical Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop electrical components for medical devices.\nApply circuit and electrical system test methods.\nAssist with prototyping and bench testing.\nSupport problem solving, identify potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements.\nUnder supervision, conduct research and studies to support product design.\nBusiness Responsibilities:\nInterpret customer needs and understands design inputs.\nUnderstand the product’s intended use and clinical procedures.\nMed Device Compliance:\nUnderstand fundamental industry standards, design requirements and test strategies which align with regulatory requirements.\nWith supervision, create or refine engineering documentation, such as the Design History file per company design control procedures.\nLearn R&D procedures like design controls and risk management, per the Quality Management System.\nGeneral Responsibilities:\nWork cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success and contribute to the project as a team member.\nLearn procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required.\nWork on problems in limited scope; purposefully learn while gaining experience.\nDemonstrate ownership and integrity of work.\nBuild stable relationships.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: What you will need (strongly desired):\nTechnical Skills:\nBasic knowledge of electrical components and manufacturing methods.\nBasic ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.\nBasic understanding of the electrical design process.\nKnowledge of design and concept generation CAD, CAE, or simulation tools.\nKnowledge of analysis tools and statistical methods.\nKnowledge of system components and associated requirements.\nPreferred Skills / Engineering tools:\nFamiliarity with Altium Designer\nSpecifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness.\nDesigns, develops, executes testing to define or assess product specifications\nUtilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce engineering drawings.\nUtilizes MATLAB, Python, C++ or other tools to develop concepts and prototypes to select and refine designs.\nPrior experience with robotic or other electro-mechanical systems is preferred.\nProficiency with MATLAB or scripting languages required.\nData analysis and statistics experience with Minitab is preferred.\nThis position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: What you will need (must have):\nBachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Electrical Enginering, or related discipline & 0+ years of work experience.\nWe will only consider candidates with graduation dates of December 2026 or Spring 2027.\nUnited States of America Pay Ranges:\nUSN: $77,700 - $129,500 USD Annual\nUS5: $81,600 - $136,000 USD Annual\nUS10: $85,500 - $142,500 USD Annual\nUS15: $89,400 - $148,900 USD Annual\nUS20: $93,200 - $155,400 USD Annual\n US30: $101,000 - $168,400 USD Annual\nTravel Percentage: NoneStryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
