We primarily work with patient handling and patient care equipment within the hospital space such as stretchers, hospital beds, and support surfaces. This role falls under the team addressing the high-acuity market, with a focus on products that often come into direct contact with patients. It includes gaining a deep understanding of customer needs through research and partnership with upstream marketing and through direct interactions with customers. Working with a diverse team, you will design, develop, modify, evaluate, and verify electrical components and sub-systems for medical devices. The role includes the full development process from research to product launch.\nDesign and develop electrical circuits and subsystems for medical devices.\nCoordinate engineering changes and complete documentation in accordance with quality management system requirements.\nReview and modify C/C++ code to support product functionality and performance\nApply electrical system and circuit test methods to evaluate product designs.\nBuild and support prototypes and conduct bench testing activities.\nCollaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and cross-functional teams to support ongoing production activities.\nAnalyze and test designs for electromagnetic compatibility, reliability, safety, manufacturability, and testability.\nSupport field investigations, customer issue analysis, and new product development initiatives, including customer site visits when needed.\nWhat You Will Need:\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.\nKnowledge of electrical components, manufacturing methods, electrical design processes, and system-level requirements.\nAbility to read, interpret, and contribute to electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.\nExperience using CAD, CAE, simulation, PCB layout, and circuit analysis tools such as PSpice to develop and validate designs.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with EMI/EMC principles, troubleshooting techniques, and development of robust hardware and software interface solutions.\nProficiency with data analysis, statistical methods, basic scripting, and cross-functional collaboration with software, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams.\nExperience using CAD, CAE, simulation, PCB layout, and circuit analysis tools such as PSpice to develop and validate designs.\nUnderstanding of wired communication interfaces and protocols including I2C, UART, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, RS-232, and RS-485.\nKnowledge of wireless communication technologies and protocols such as Bluetooth, BLE, RFID, Wi-Fi, and related testing standards.\n$77,700 - $129,500 USD Annual\nTravel Percentage: 10%Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
