The Complex Accounting team partners with US-based divisions and corporate functions including Treasury, Financial Reporting, and Tax to provide oversight, technical guidance, and reporting for leases, revenue, stock comp, and other complex accounting areas.\nIn this role, you will be accountable for establishing effective accounting practices, developing and executing strategies to support the Finance organization, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring the successful delivery of accounting services to the divisions. The Senior Manager also plays a key role in the continued evolution of the Finance organization, including evaluating opportunities to centralize activities, leading transitions to the Finance Center, and developing scalable processes and best practices.\nThis hybrid role is based out of our Flower Mound, TX location. You’ll be expected to work in the office two days per week, Tuesday and Wednesday, with the flexibility to work from home on the remaining days.\nWhat you will do\nLead and develop the Complex Accounting team, setting priorities, providing direction, and ensuring appropriate resources to meet business and reporting needs.\nDevelop and execute complex accounting strategies, ensuring consistent application of US GAAP, corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and best practices across divisions.\nServe as a senior subject matter expert on complex accounting matters, including leases, revenue recognition, intangible assets, contingent consideration, stock compensation, pensions, equity investments, and other technical topics.\nPartner with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve complex accounting issues, evaluate transactions, and provide recommendations that support business objectives.\nOversee critical month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement reviews, SEC reporting, and related accounting conclusions.\nMaintain oversight of key controls and complex accounting processes, including lease accounting, Nakisa, impairment assessments, acquisition accounting, contingent consideration, and related disclosures.\nLead process, system, and organizational improvements, including centralizing appropriate accounting activities, implementing scalable solutions, and driving standardization and efficiency across the organization.\nResearch and interpret US GAAP and communicate complex accounting matters by developing accounting conclusions and position papers and effectively presenting risks and recommendations to Finance leadership and senior stakeholders.\nWhat you need\nRequired:\nBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required\nMinimum 10 years of professional experience\nExperience collaborating cross-functionally in a global matrix structure\nStrong knowledge of US GAAP and experience applying accounting guidance to complex transactions\nPreferred:\nActive CPA\nTechnical accounting or financial reporting experience\nDemonstrated experience motivating teams and developing talent\nUnited States of America Pay Ranges:\nUSN: $118,000 - $196,700 USD Annual\nPuerto Rico: $118,000 - $196,700 USD Annual\nUS5: $123,900 - $206,500 USD Annual\nUS10: $129,800 - $216,400 USD Annual\nUS15: $135,700 - $226,200 USD Annual\nUS20: $141,600 - $236,000 USD Annual\nUS30: $153,400 - $255,700 USD Annual\nView the U.S. work location and transparency guide to find the pay range for your location.Travel Percentage: 10%Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
